8 Ways You Can Spice Up Your Weekend in the Comfort of Your Own Apartment!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Elon chapter.

Let’s face it, sometimes after a long week of focusing on school, organizations, friendships, and everything in between, some weekends are simply meant for a bit of R&R.

1. Redecorate

The simplest way to fix up a space is by simply moving your furniture in completely different places.  You can also find easy DIYs on Pinterest to fancify your apartment!

2. Cook a new recipe

I promise, Pinterest is your friend!  And if it fails, mac-n-cheese is always a friend!

3. Watch a new show/movie/YouTube channel

Who knows?  You may find a new favorite!  The best thing is inviting friends over and watching a show all together!

4. Try a new makeup look

Open up that palette that has been collecting dust for the past few months.  Even if your look is not the best, you are in the comfort of your own room!

5. Get ahead of your own schedule

The most satisfying moment is checking things off of your to-do list.  If you start taking things off your list now, you will not have to worry about them later!

6. Attempt an online workout video

My biggest recommendation is Blogilates because she is so fun and upbeat, but there are thousands on YouTube and other platforms to try out!  The best tip is to try it with a friend so you go full out. http://youtube.com/Blogilates

7. Deep clean

TRUST ME!  Once all your clothes are finally off your floor, you will feel like a whole new person.

8. Call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while

Okay, this is a different kind of “spice”, but as the quote says, time heals old wounds.  If you cannot remember why you are not speaking to someone, chances are they can’t either.
