Navigating the workout world can be difficult, especially when don’t really know what would benefit you the most. Fear not! We are here to help you find the best FITness class for you based on your personality! (Get it? Best fit-ness? Okay. Moving on.)

If you are organized and have a steady routine…

Yoga class may be best for you! You can “om” away your stress and worries with a yoga class. There are classes with different intensities and with a variety of focuses, so they are a really good fit for almost anyone – but especially for those of us who are a little more regimented.

Try: Yoga, Power Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, Corepower Yoga, or Advanced Yoga

If you are traditional and consistent…

Try a Pilates class! This branch of exercise is focused on building strength, flexibility, and can even improve your posture. While a little more aggressive on the muscles than yoga tends to be, people who are traditional and consistent usually match up nicely with Pilates class!

Try: Pilates or Effective Pilates

If you are high energy and focused…

Check out a kickboxing class! These fast paced and physically strenuous classes can also be mentally demanding. For these reasons, people who are focused and have a high energy level tend to be best suited for a kickboxing class!

Try: War Vol 7 or Hard Strikes

If you are energized by new experiences…

Try a spin class! Did you ever see the cartoons where the character’s legs are moving really fast but they aren’t going anywhere? That is exactly what spin class is like, but in the best way! If you like to switch up your workouts and experience new exercises, spin class may be the perfect fit for you.

Try: Cycle 45 or 60

If you are not easily entertained…

Check out a Zumba class! This fast paced, always entertaining, and crazily fun exercise might even make you forget you’re actually working out.  Since no two Zumba classes are exactly the same, this class is usually great for those who get bored with running on a treadmill or lifting weights!

Try: Zumba

If you are creative and independent…

See how you feel in a strength training class! Strength training will work all of your major muscle groups, and you can get out of it exactly what you put in! These classes are great for people who are creative and independent since the workouts are so varied (and they are also performed solo).

Try: Bodypump or H.I.T.

If you are outgoing, confident, and extroverted…

A cardio intensive class could be the best fit for you!  There are many different types of classes that will give you a killer cardio workout – and an opportunity to show off your skills!

Try: Bodycombat, Cardio Dance, Cardio Burn and Sculpt, or Kettlebell

No matter how you’re feeling on any given day, there’s a class for that! Group exercise will never let you down. Have any group exercise stories you want to share with us? Let us know in the comments on Facebook or Twitter, and check out the calendar below for a full scheduled of classes offered in the Drexel Athletic Center for winter 2016!
