Analyzing How Khloé Kardashian Eats: The Nutrition Major Perspective

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CWU chapter.

The Kardashian’s are known for their amazing body types a flawless beauty. We think it comes easy to them with the latest and greatest doctors and celebrity treatments that they have access to. But you would be surprised to know that Khloé puts in the hard work as a lot of us “average” people do. Khloé is and has always been my favorite Kardashian, she keeps it real and is always relatable. So, what is her secret? How does she get the famous Kardashian killer body?

In a 2021 article from The List, Dr. Goglia developed a meal plan for Kardashian that fits her metabolic needs. He stressed that choosing real foods over supplements is key because that is where you get the most of your nutrients.  Khloé eats around seven times a day. This includes meals and snacks that keep her satiated and help to maintain her healthy weight. For breakfast, Khloé typically has a protein shake with a teaspoon of nut butter along with a piece of fruit. Her snacks throughout the day include fruit like a tangerine or a vegetable like celery with some almonds.  For lunch or dinner, Khloé has proteins like grilled chicken, sea bass, and salmon, along with lots of vegetables. She also drinks a lot of water throughout the day. Once a week she does a cheat meal a splurge to have a piece of cake.  To maintain her killer body, Kardashian avoids dairy, juices and anything labeled “low fat” or “diet.”

When I look at Khloé’s diet, she incorporates a lot of the major food groups but lacks in grains and dairy. If I were nutritionally counseling, I would love to have her add in some grains like quinoa or lentils. I would like to add in some dairy if she is not avoiding it because she is lactose intolerant. Maybe having small amounts like some soft cheeses or yogurt. I think small additions like these would be great ways to get more nutrients into her balanced diet so that she does not fall deficient in any of the needed nutrients.

I think Dr. Goglia said it best, “When it comes to nutrition and weight loss, it’s 80% in the kitchen and 20% in the gym.” We should realize that our bodies are a vessel, and we should fuel them to keep up with our crazy, busy lives. This means eating right and balancing that with an active lifestyle. Even if you are looking at a celebrity some may eat little to none, others may keep it simple and balance it out with all the major food groups. The key is variety and moderation. We should not be afraid of food, even with what a celebrity eats. We should have diets like these that encourage healthy habits that create a balance. We need more Khloé’s in the world of healthy role models in the nutrition world.
