5 Self-Care Tips for Getting Out of Your Feels

Very often I have those days where I wake up and feel like crap, and since being in college they come more often then I would hope, but that’s normal. College is stressful, a lot of work, and takes up most of my time but I don’t let that get in the way of taking care of myself. So, here are a few tips from yours truly on how I take care of myself when I’m not feeling myself.

Shower

Whenever I am stressed sometimes all I need is a hot shower or bath to relax me. The steam clears the sinuses and helps all the toxins in the body come out. If you’re lucky and have a bathtub you can get bath bombs or some type of Epsom salts. These are both great ways to help the body relax and let your muscles have a break from everyday stress.

Face masks

I love face masks! They can do so much, especially depending on the type of face mask you have and trust me there are tons. You can find a face mask for almost anything. I find that if my face feels clean and like it’s being taken care of my body feels better like I’m paying attention to what it needs. And sometimes it just needs a little extra love.

One of the best things you can do is pamper yourself like going out and getting your lashes done or maybe getting your nails done. Small things like these can remind yourself that you’re a bad b*tch and you’re just going through a rough time. It’s also nice to feel taken care of and makes you feel a little prettier than you already are.

Do What You Find Fun

When you have something you enjoy whether it be drawing, writing, painting, making music or whatever else you like to do in your spare time, it’s important to keep on those. Those things are what get your head out of classes and the drama of college. These can be things that you can do with your friends and spend time with each other.

Eating Healthy and Exercise

Paying attention to what you eat can make a huge difference in your body. Giving your body healthy foods is giving your body the proper energy and nutrients that it needs to work properly. Then mix that with exercise and you will feel amazing. It will help boost your confidence and work out all that energy in your body. When you exercise you will sweat out all the toxins in your body and you will feel brand new.

There are so many more things you can do to remind yourself of the bad bitch that you are these are just a few that I do to help me. But whenever you get the chance always take an opportunity to care for yourself.
