15 Things You Need To Hear Right Now

The weight of the world feels so heavy for a lot of us right now. It hardly feels possible in many moments to find the good amidst bad situations. It is more important now than ever to remind ourselves that there is so much light in the world. So, take this as a sign of what you need to hear right now. Remember to take a deep breath, let your mind ease and heart slow. Take only what resonates with you right this moment and leave the rest. Find what you need to hear.

  1. Love should make you feel good

Love, in its truest form, is designed to make you feel blissfully happy. It is the sunlight streaming through a window, warming up the room. It is the sound of your favorite person speaking your name through soft lips. Love should be the purpose of life, not what adds to the discomfort and dread of it. If your love doesn’t make you feel good, maybe it isn’t the love meant for you. And that is okay.

  1. People feel safe in your presence and immediately feel your absence when you’re not there.

Your energy is peaceful and your personality a breath of fresh air. When you are around, there is a tangible release in the crowd, allowing everyone to breathe deeply and feel at home. When you’re not around, they feel something missing, and that thing is you

  1. You are so beautiful and it is the least interesting thing about you

Your beauty shines through everything you do, and that is the least interesting thing that you have to offer the world. You are so full of personality and love and life, and your beauty is just one of the amazing parts of who you are.

  1. Your love is never wasted

Love is, and always will be, the most beautiful thing imaginable. The love of an ex partner, the love of your family, of the living beings around you, and everything else has its own purpose in your life. The love given and received is never a waste, it is what makes life worth living.

  1. There are so many people in your lifetime just waiting to meet you

You may feel stuck where you are right now, jittery and anxious with the way your life is going or unsatisfied with the relationships surrounding you. That feeling sucks, but it will never last forever. There are so many people just waiting to meet you and to fill your cup with love and joy. Don’t stop looking for those people, because they may just be right around the corner.

  1. It didn’t work out because you would have hated it

Take the failure as a sign that it just wasn’t meant for you. It didn’t work out because if it had, it could, and might, have changed the trajectory of your life for the worst. That big bad thing that happened to you might have been the thing to put you on just the right track. It didn’t end up working out because the universe knew that if it had, you would have hated it.

  1. Change is scary, but staying the same is worse

The worst thing you can do in your time on this earth is stay the same. Embracing change in all of its messy, confusing, and freeing ways is the only way to truly become yourself. The fear of the unknown is nothing compared to the sorrow of forgetting yourself and the pain of residing where you no longer belong.

  1. If it’s meant to be, it’ll be

Don’t put too much stress on yourself to make everything happen right now. Don’t spend your time and energy worrying about things that you have no control over at this very moment. Just trust and believe that whatever is meant to happen will happen. Whatever is meant to find you will find you. The universe always has a plan, you just might not know what it is quite yet.

  1. Don’t chase people who know exactly how to find you

Your time and energy is precious. It may sound harsh, but the people you chase may not be chasing you back. The people you’re looking for know exactly how to reach you and where to find you. Let go of the thought that if you try harder it will make them any different, because it wont. Let it go, let them go, and let yourself be.

  1. What you can’t control shouldn’t consume you

There is so much in this world that you are able to control. What you do with your time, what you eat for breakfast, and who you spend your day with. What you can’t control, however, are things out of your grasp. You can’t control the actions of others, the opinions of strangers, and the way the wind blows. So if you have no control of it, why would you let it have so much control over you?

  1. You can’t add days to your life, but you can add life to your days

Everyone on this planet will die at some point or another. It’s just a fact. No matter how hard you try, your days are numbered just like everyone else’s. Why would you spend however many days you have left doing anything less than everything? Go on that trip, plan that party, and see the world, because you won’t have forever to do things you could be doing right now.

  1. Rotten fruit falls all on its own

People can be awful, that’s just a fact. But within the hatred and the malicious words lies one truth: revenge will do nothing. Don’t spend your time and energy focusing on the downfall of others, because that person will inevitably cause their downfall all on their own.

  1. You are never too old and it is never too late

The world is too wide and oceans too deep to not experience every drop of water. You can start over at any point, during any phase of your life. Learn to rollerskate in your 40’s, teach yourself how to ride a bike in your 50’s, and travel the world in your 70’s. It is never too late to fill your life with substance.

  1. Close the window that hurts you, no matter how beautiful the view

In the end, you need to prioritize how you feel over many other aspects of your life. Cut off the things that hurt you, heal the parts of you that need to be sewn together, and close the chapter of your life that hurts you. There will always be another page to turn and the next chapter to experience.

  1. It actually is all fun and games

Fortunately, nothing is ever that serious. We are all simply floating on a drifting rock in space. Feel your feelings, and experience the good and the bad alike. But remember, the bad times are never as bad as you think they are, and the good times are so much greater than they ever seemed to be.
