The new year has officially begun and it’s time to kick it into gear! A new year means a time for making changes and a fresh start to make it a great year for you! New Year’s resolutions sometimes may be hard to think of, but there are plenty of simple and easy tasks you can do to make 2015 a year to remember!

1. Be Healthy

This new year can be the start of something new for you, and I’m not talking about singing karaoke with Troy Bolton in High School Musical. This is time to start being healthy and taking care of your body! Whether that means eating nutritious foods or working out multiple times a week, this is a decision that can benefit you tremendously. Next time you’re on Pinterest, look up some great new recipes to make for dinner or a few workouts that can be done at home or the gym. Make 2015 a healthy year!

2. Quit Bad Habits

Forcing yourself to quit bad habits is a tricky thing to do. Biting your nails, swearing a little too much, procrastination, or any other habit you can admit to can easily be broken with some determination. Being able to stop yourself from performing these bad habits of yours can be the first steps to accomplishing bigger and better things in life! Start small then work your way up the ladder.

3. Make Plans

Since it’s the beginning of a new year, now is the time to start thinking of future plans and vacations that you might want to take! You could find concerts to go to or organize a road trip to see friends at other schools. Also, Spring Break is right around the corner! Maybe you don’t have a destination yet? Talk to friends and find a hot spot to visit!  Creating upcoming plans will get you excited more and more each day!

4. Grow in Faith

Having a faith can be extremely life changing for some people, and one way to keep that faith is to grow in it every day. You may ask, how do I “grow” in my faith? Well, you can start by just saying a simple prayer in the morning or at night before bed. Sometimes this can be very relaxing for people and allows to release tension or burdens they may have. Make it a spiritual time for you.

Having New Year’s resolutions are wonderful. They can keep you focused and allow you to strive for change in your life. Hopefully these ideas help you construct your own resolutions. Let’s make 2015 a fabulous year!
