Chapman University is a great school, with a great atmosphere. Palm trees line the streets, and the Orange circle is a great place to grab a bite to eat. It’s sometimes difficult to appreciate all of this when we are so overwhelmed with schoolwork. So, here are some tips to keep you cool, calm, and collected during this spring semester!
1. Sunspark Yoga
Sunspark Yoga will encourage you keep your zen while helping you achieve a great workout! Their classes vary depending on levels and range from mat Pilates to sound healing meditation. What sets Sunspark Yoga apart from other yoga studios is how college-friendly they are. This studio offers student rates too, so you Chapman students can afford this totally awesome hobby.
Nothing will keep you on track this spring semester more than a healthy diet! Check out Growl Juice Pub for a yummy and nutritious treat! They have so many different kinds of acai and pitaya bowls, and if you want to start your week feeling fresh, try their cold-pressed juices. The lines may be long at times, but the wait is so worth it.

Take a break from studying in Leatherby Libraries or the dorms, and try focussing on your schoolwork outside in the fresh air! Hart Park has so many tables to do your work at, and you’re bound to get your studying done in this serene atmosphere. If studying outside isn’t your thing, you can also relax in the pool or play some baseball.
4. Farmer’s Market
Get some organically-grown veggies and freshly-picked flowers every Saturday from 9am-1pm at the Farmers Market (on the corner of Cypress and Palm). Their live music and delicious samples will start your Saturday off the right way.
5. Hit the Beach
Chapman students are so incredibly lucky because their campus is in a prime location for beach-lovers! Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, and Newport Beach are all so close. They are such a great opportunity to enjoy SoCal while getting a break from school. Grab your friends and check out the Huntington Beach Pier, Alta Cafe in Newport, or the amazing shops in Laguna.
