Bucknell’s annual Fall Fest event is the ultimate start to autumn on campus. This year is no exception as there will be plenty of food options and entertainment to make this the best way to kick off the fall semester.

This year the event will start at 5:00pm on the Sojka Lawn, and in the case of rain will be moved to the Fieldhouse. The great thing about Fall Fest is that there’s something for everyone, regardless of your grade here at Bucknell. For seniors and juniors over the age of 21, there’s a beer garden that is sectioned off on the lawn, as well as different beverage sections for underage students. Some of the most rightfully-advertised food includes nacho tots and a cafe-presented BBQ dinner.

As the night goes on, various dining options will open such as fruit kabobs and turkey legs at 5:30pm and fried oreos at 6:00pm. Fall fest is a great opportunity not only to mingle with your fellow Bucknellians but also to try different foods that aren’t always accessible on campus. Before the music starts, you and your friends can go on a gravitron, ferris wheel, and a trampoline jump.

Additionally, numerous students will also be performing such as Kwaku and the Bucks orchestra. Finally, the Plain White Tees will be performing, most recognized for their songs Hey There Delilah and Rhythm of Love.

If we haven’t convinced you to go yet, note that this event is completely free and is a great opportunity to get out of the library and distract yourself from the work you have to do. The music will be great and the food will be phenomenal, so it is definitely worth checking out!
