Do you ever feel like you do not have enough time in the day to do what you want? That is how I have been feeling! Especially this semester all I do is go to class, do homework for at least five hours a day, work, and sleep. It is hard to constantly have that same routine without doing what you like. When I take time for myself I feel guilty because I feel like I should be doing homework or studying. As the weather starts warming up all I want to do is spend all of my time outdoors. My favorite thing to do is just read outside, spend time with friends and family, go on hikes, sit by the water, and of course, soak up the sun. Sometimes it’s hard to just keep the same routine because I am already feeling burnt out and it is only halfway through the semester. There are days that I do not even have time to watch an episode of my favorite show. However, as the days go by I keep looking forward to the summer. Being able to spend time with friends and family with the beautiful weather and being able to be outdoors all of the time. Thinking about that is what keeps me going. I guess at the end of the day my perfect day would just be being able to not worry about homework and feeling guilty about not doing it. I would love for it to be warm outside, to go on a walk, and do fun activities. I am so excited for the summertime because you have all of that free time to do whatever you want. I can not wait to have free time in which I can go out to get food, see my friends and family, be warm, and have time for myself. What I have learned is that hard work does pay off which I can clearly see but sometimes you need to give time to yourself to do what you love. Everyone needs to put aside some time out of each day for self-care as well as have something to look forward to.
