Meet the Committee: Amy Scott
Â
Hey Amy, did you have a fab summer?
Â
It was so good thanks! Super busy!
Â
Did you go anywhere nice?
Â
No, unfortunately, I worked all summer.
Â
How did you hear about her campus?
Â
Through the AUSA website
Â
What made you go for a committee position?
Â
I personally felt that I had plenty of previous experience in order to pursue the role of PR rep and use said previous experience to my advantage.
Â
How are you finding your time at Aberdeen University?
Â
I’m loving it! I’m currently in my third year, so the pressure is mounting. However, I love the social side we have at the uni.
Â
Do you have a favourite moment of being a student so far?
Â
Meeting lots of new people from different walks of life and opening up my eyes to new experiences that I would not have tried otherwise.
Â
What’s the most embarrassing/funny thing that’s happened to you at university so far?
Â
In halls in first year, someone was knocking on the front door for like 20 minutes at 8am (early for first year lol). I was a bit annoyed because we had had a flat party the night before and I was exhausted! I went to answer the door and low and behold, it was the postman with about five Missguided parcels (ahh the days of spending student loan on whatever you wanted). I threw the door open and grabbed them off the poor guy, who had a shocked face on, which I presumed was from my rudeness. However, I found out on the walk back to my room, that I had just answered the door in just a night shirt and pants…. Awkward…
Â
What’s the best piece of HC merch you have so far?
Â
Our half zip grey fleece! It’s the best fleece I have ever owned! Super comfortable and chic!
Â
Â
Are you looking forward to the upcoming year/ what are you looking forward to the
most?
Â
This year I am going back into student accommodation and I’m so excited to meet new people and have another halls experience!
Â
Do you have a place in Aberdeen you love to go to? (Cafe, restaurant, etc.)
Â
I love to go for runs on the beach. It’s such a nice escape from the inner city itself and it allows me space to think.
Â
Most importantly, what is your fave student meal?
Â
Fajitas… I absolutely love fajitas…
Â
Thanks for letting us get to know you a little and we are looking forward to knowing a lot more by the end of the year :)
