Spontaneity (adj)-proceeding from innate tendency, natural feeling or impulse without external constraint.

The best thing in life is the ability to do what makes you happy. I think the best days are the unplanned ones. I have four examples from my life: a solo date in Vancouver, a day out in Aberdeen, a trip to Granville Island and going to the cinema alone.

Solo date in Vancouver

One day during my stay in Vancouver I decided to do my favourite things including getting a cinnamon bun and thrift shopping. The thrift shops were lovely for just snooping around and chatting with various people over clothes. The cinnamon bun shop was amazing very open plan with wood panning. The cinnamon buns were fluffy and sweet. It was nice to have a slower pace day, I was there studying for a month on an intense course. It really allowed me to appreciate the area I was in.

A day out in Aberdeen

I met my friend in the morning for breakfast. I ordered mac and cheese, a Fanta, and a hot chocolate and my friend ordered a Fanta and a bacon scrambled egg croissant, it was so good and the people running the cafe were the best. We headed to Dough and co, for their opening day. We shared a 6 doughnut box and spent a long time reviewing each doughnut, and we go tchatting with the owner, Ian who was super nice.

A trip to Granville Island

During the summer of 2023, I spent part of it in Vancouver. One day a friend and I decided to walkaround an area in downtown Vancouver known as Granville Island. It was an amazing day out we wandered around a vast food market speaking to various vendors. We also went to a high-end jewellery store where we learnt a lot about handmade jewellery.

Going to the cinema alone

This year I decided to buy a cinema card. I thought it would be a good way to get out of the house and a very low-commitment activity. Sorry to my friends but I love it-I always sit in the back corner at the side and spend hours of my life watching whatever movie I want (not just horrors). I would highly recommend it to everyone I think it is also an effort to be more comfortable in myself
