Cinco de Mayo (aka May 5) is rapidly approaching, which means it’s time to start getting ready for margaritas and Mexican food! The holiday commemorates the Mexican army defeating French forces in 1862, and these days, it’s commonly celebrated by attending parades or festivals, watching battle reenactments, and — of course — going out and getting some delicious Mexican food and drinks. That last part is made especially easy since many restaurants offer great discounts and deals for the holiday — and this year, the stars have aligned for Cinco de Mayo to fall on a Tuesday, aka Taco Tuesday, which is super exciting. And even better, Chipotle’s Cinco de Mayo 2026 deal is here to celebrate the holiday and to satisfy your cravings.
Chipotle is known for having deals to celebrate holidays, from Halloween to Blackout Wednesday, and the trend isn’t stopping anytime soon. To celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year, Chipotle has a special deal planned to celebrate its members and the Mexican holiday!
For members of the Chipotle Rewards program can use the code CINCO26 in either the Chipotle app or the brand’s website in order to redeem either a free side of Chips and Queso Blanco or a side of Chips and Guacamole (each normally costs $4.65). This code is only eligible on orders with a full size entree purchase, so you’d better come hungry. The code will only be eligible for use on May 5, and it will only be able to be redeemed once per customer. Luckily, if you’re not already a Rewards member, it’s super easy to sign up: You can just download the app and sign up there, or go to Chipotle’s website and make an account there. Super simple!
“Cinco de Mayo is all about coming together over food, and chips and sides are where the celebration begins,” Chipotle’s Interim Chief Marketing Officer Stephanie Perdue said in a press release about this deal. “Our chips, guacamole and Queso Blanco are fan favorites for a reason—they’re made with real ingredients and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. There’s no better day to give them to our fans for free.”
Cinco de Mayo this year also falls right next to both Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4 to May 8) and National Nurses Week (May 6 to May 12), and Chipotle also plans on celebrating this as well! In order to honor and celebrate teachers and healthcare workers, Chipotle is going to give away 100,000 entrees to teachers and another 100,000 to healthcare workers. There will be a lottery open from April 28 to May 12 in which those who are eligible can enter through their respective teacher or healthcare links to win a gift card for a free entree. So much to celebrate!
