Announcing… Her Campus Voices: Election 2024 Tour

This year, Her Campus is committed to amplifying the voices of Gen Z throughout the 2024 election

In our December 2023 Election Survey, where we surveyed over 600 Gen Zers about Election 2024, 82% of you said you were concerned about the outcome of the 2024 election. But while the majority were united in that sentiment, the data also showed that this generation represents a multitude of perspectives and a spectrum of beliefs with varying viewpoints and priorities when it comes to how you’re approaching your decision.

So now it’s time to go a level deeper and bring the data — and these conversations — to life and hear from you directly, in person, with our Her Campus Voices: Election 2024 Tour.

Throughout 2024, in partnership with Future Caucus and DoSomething, Her Campus will be coming to a series of college campuses around the country to host intimate, moderated, thoughtful, productive conversations with a small group of students on each campus. We’ll sit down with you so you can share your experiences and perspectives as we inch closer to the general election.

We are kicking off our tour on April 11 at Michigan State University — an important swing state where young people turned out to vote at a rate higher than anywhere else in the country in 2022. We’ll continue the conversation in New York City at Her Campus’s Her Conference event in June. As students start the Fall 2024 semester, Her Campus will head to the University of Colorado Boulder — Colorado being one of only six states with a youth turnout rate above 30% — and the University of Central Florida — a Hispanic-Serving Institution which resides in the first district to vote a member of Gen Z, Maxwell Frost, into the U.S. House of Representatives. We may be adding additional stops too — let us know here if you want us to bring the tour to your campus!

To keep things cozy and meaningful, these events are both exclusive and moderated. Starting today, you will be able to apply for a spot, and we’ll select a diverse group of students to ensure a wide range of voices in each conversation.

We’re proud to be teaming up with some phenomenal partners to bring this to life! Future Caucus, a national nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to activating young policymakers to bridge the partisan divide, will be joining us as a partner in how we approach conversations among a diverse group of perspectives. DoSomething, a nonprofit organization working to engage young people to create positive change in the world, continues to be our civic engagement partner and will provide attendees with everything they need to cast their ballot confidently in November.

Every voice matters in this upcoming election, in which 41 million members of Gen Z will be eligible to vote, many for the first time. We hope you’ll apply to join us on our tour and all we ask is that you come ready to openly and respectfully engage and discuss.

Future Caucus is a national, nonpartisan 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to activating young policymakers to bridge the partisan divide and lead a new era of collaborative governance. In 2013, it organized America’s first-ever bipartisan caucus for young members of Congress — the Congressional Future Caucus. Shaping the next generation of leadership, the organization’s Future Caucus network has expanded into 33 state legislatures and grown into the largest nonpartisan organization of Gen Z and millennial elected officials in the U.S.
