Will Taylor Swift Be At Coachella 2024? Honestly, It’s Possible

As the warm weather gets closer and closer, music enthusiasts around the world eagerly await the arrival of festival season — namely, Coachella 2024. As the festival prepares to unfold amidst the sun-kissed landscape of Indio, California, this year’s edition promises a strong and diverse lineup. The Coachella 2024 artist lineup was released in January, revealing artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert, John Batiste, and J Balvin among others. The headliners for the three days will be Lana Del Ray, Tyler the Creator, and Doja Cat. One name that’s missing from the Coachella 2024 lineup? Taylor Swift.

Some fans have been hoping Swift will make a Coachella appearance for years now. Swift is currently dominating the music scene right now, carrying out her Eras Tour until the end of this year. She’s been breaking records, released a movie version of her tour in theaters, and even just announced the release of a new album in April (which blew all of her fans’ minds). Now, there’s new Swiftie speculation that’s caused stirring amongst her fans — is there a chance that Taylor Swift will perform at Coachella 2024? You may be wondering why fans think this is a possibility, so here are some of the reasons it’s suspected that Taylor Swift might grace festival goers with her presence on the Coachella stage this year.

Convenient Timing of the Eras Tour

As many Swifties are aware, Taylor Swift launched her Eras Tour in March of 2023 and isn’t set to end it until December of this year. As of right now, Swift is performing out of the country, and the tour isn’t set to return to the United States until October of 2024. However, Swift does get to have a bit of a breather in the month of April, as she is taking that time off.

Guess what else is in April? Coachella.

Fans are quick to point out that Swift is strategic and does everything for a reason. A lot of fans feel the time off is set for April because of the release of The Tortured Poet’s Department, which is set to come out April 19 (aka the last day of Coachella). Others are quick to point out that with the entire month of April off, Swift can release an album and do tons of other iconic things as well. What could be more iconic than making a surprise appearance at Coachella to celebrate the release of her new album? I’ll let you answer that one.

Will Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift Perform Together At Coachella?

Another reason fans speculate Swift could be making a Coachella appearance is because of Lana Del Rey’s position as a headliner on Friday. Del Rey and Swift have been an iconic duo for a while, and especially in 2024, as the pair attended major events like the Emmys and Super Bowl together. Del Rey also collaborated with Swift on her last album with their song “Snow on the Beach,” showing the two have cultivated a relationship strong enough to make music together.

Considering the bond they continue to nurture, fans suspect there could be a chance that Swift joins in on the Coachella action by Del Rey’s side, and a performance of their song would be an awesome way to surprise fans during the festival. While there’s no way to confirm or deny this, for fans of this song, hope is strong.

SWIFT Has Other Prominent Coachella Ties This Year

While Lana Del Rey is one major source of speculation for a Swift spotting at Coachella this year, she has a lot of other connections to people who will be present at the festival. One example is Jack Antonoff, who has been working with Swift since the release of 1989 back in 2014. As of 2022, the duo has worked on 56 songs together, and that list has only increased since then. Antonoff will be playing with his band, Bleachers, at the festival.

Another friend who will be present at Coachella 2024 is Ice Spice, who Swift collaborated with on a remix of “Karma” back in 2023. We’ve also seen the two together in public lately — Ice Spice was at the Super Bowl with Swift and Del Rey, and the two were seen being especially close at the MTV Music Awards back in 2023.

Honestly though, even if Swift doesn’t perform, we better see her attending Coachella 2024. At this point, it’s expected.
