I don’t know about you, but I’m in my Eras era now more than ever. On Friday, Oct. 13, like many other Swifties, I saw Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour movie in theaters. My bestie and I went early to grab all the exclusive movie merch we could. Some items were sold out by the time we got there. We were able to get the popcorn buckets and cups (the ones without lids and straws, unfortunately), but my theater was already sold out of some Eras Tour movie merch, like the tote bags and batons. We did get a free small poster as we entered, however.
Of course, The Eras Tour movie merch is in high demand. Make sure you get to the theater early to get the goods. If you already went and missed out, don’t worry. There may be ways you can still get The Eras Tour film merch. We haven’t survived The Great War yet, but Dear Reader, I’ll help you secure the exclusive items.
Every movie theater chain is different and offers various items. The deals are also a bit different at each theater. The merch includes a popcorn tub with a handle, a popcorn tin, a regular and large collective cup, posters, a tote bag, and a baton.
Both AMC and Cinemark seem to be giving away the free posters while supplies last. There’s also a $19.89 deal with a popcorn bucket and cup, but the types of buckets and cups vary per theater. Regal shared its Era-themed deal on Twitter. You can find more info on what specials AMC and Cinemark have on their websites.
If you go to your local theater and everything is sold out, hold tight. Some theaters will be restocking items throughout the upcoming days and weeks. Try calling ahead to make sure they have what you want in stock. Just remember to be patient and kind — there’s an overwhelming demand for these products, and a lot of people are attending the movie, so movie theater employees are very busy and just trying to do their jobs to the best of their abilities.
If the theaters near you are all sold out right now, your next best option is buying online from sites like eBay, Poshmark, and Mercari. Unfortunately, people selling these items have increased the prices of the items dramatically. Be aware of scammers, and don’t spend too much. There’s still plenty of time for theaters to get the items back in stock. Hopefully, in the future, they’ll put some of the merchandise online like they did for the Barbie movie.
