Will the Kar-Jenners Be At The 2023 Met Gala?

The Met Gala is approaching pretty quickly, besties, and it’s time to get excited. To some, it is just a normal Monday night in May, but to others (aka me), the biggest night in fashion is essentially the Superbowl.

ICYMI: The theme for the 2023 Met Gala is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” honoring the late Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019 at 85. The Met Gala will take place in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Met Gala guest list is pretty much the best-kept secret in New York. But, based on previous years, you can expect attendees to consist of many A-list celebrities (unfortunately, Blake Lively is not attending) and the most iconic family in America, the Kardashians.

Page Six dropped the news back in March that Anna Wintour cut the Kardashians from the Met Gala guest list to “class it up.” This shocked many, as the Kardashians have sported some iconic looks over the years, and who doesn’t love to see what this family has up their sleeves? I was especially disappointed because I was hoping to see the unlikely pair of Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamaet walk the carpet together. (I’m still recovering over the news of their pairing, TBH).

But we have confirmation that none other than Ms. Kim K will attend. She posted on her Instagram on April 26 that she went to Karl Lagerfeld’s office in Paris to get some inspo for her outfit for the Met Gala.

So for sure, Kim is attending, and I’m excited to see what outfit she’s going to wear. Kim’s outfits have been pretty iconic in the past. In 2022 the theme was “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” and Kim wore Marilyn Monroe’s dress, specifically the dress Marilyn wore to sing Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. So, that will definitely be hard to beat.

But what about the rest of the KarJenner clan? Well, I guess TBD. 2022 was the first year that all the members of the KarJenner fam attended the Met Gala, with it being Khloe and Kourtney’s Met Gala debut. While Kylie and Kendall are pretty seasoned Met Gala attendees, who remembers the iconic orange and purple outfit the duo wore in 2019? Still not over that one.

And we can never forget about Kris, meme extraordinaire. Hopefully, we can expect her again this year, and maybe she’ll have another Taylor Swift album to predict because her 2019 look is definitely giving Midnights (blonde hair and all).

If it's the fall, she's definitely rewatching Gilmore Girls.
