Wait, So *Why* Did Anna Leave ‘LIB’?

Spoiler alert: Spoilers for Season 9 of Love Is Blind follow. If you’re anything like me, then you’ve probably already binged all six episodes of Love Is Blind Season 9 already. Since the premiere on Oct. 1, Love Is Blind has once again taken over everyone’s group chats, social media feeds, and, honestly, our brains. But as much as we’ve been glued to the drama, one question is on every viewer’s mind: Why did Anna leave?

Every season of Love Is Blind has definitely had its fair share of chaos. We’ve seen unexpected engagements, jaw-dropping breakups, and more than a few of those awkward “I don’t know if I can do this” moments. The idea is simple: singles date in the infamous pods, fall in love, and get engaged without ever seeing each other — then, they meet face-to-face and decide if their connection can survive in the real world. Love it or hate it, the show sparks strong conversations about modern dating, choosing personality over looks, and whether love really can be blind.

Anna immediately became a standout character after fans saw her relationship with Patrick. And IDK about you, but Patrick and Anna’s relationship was def one of my faves throughout the new season, and I was convinced that they were a shoo-in to be engaged. Both being Asian and sharing insecurities around their ethnicity, the two bonded in a way that was not only sweet but also incredibly important to see on screen.

But in Episode 3, Patrick suddenly gets stood up on his date with Anna, and it’s soon revealed that she actually left the show. But everyone’s biggest question is: why? So, what actually caused Anna to walk away from the pods? Here’s what we know.

So, Why Did Anna Leave Love Is Blind?

TBH, while we don’t know the full story just yet, it’s easy to speculate. Given her obvious sparks with Patrick and Blake, it seems pretty clear that Anna’s departure wasn’t about either of them. Many of the other cast members have suggested that she may have just felt overwhelmed by the intensity of the show, and if I couldn’t use my phone or communicate with my family and friends for an extended period of time? I’d feel the same.

Between the emotional rollercoaster of the pods, the constant cameras, and the pressure to build a connection in a short amount of time, it’s understandable that anyone could feel the same way.

Does anna come back to Love Is Blind Season 9?

By the end of Episode 6, we see a snippet of what’s next to come — which includes Patrick and Anna reuniting. It’s inevitable that we’ll finally find out the real reason behind Anna’s sudden and unexpected departure from the show. And maybe it’s just me, but I’m going to be hoping and praying that the two get together, especially given Patrick’s breakup with Kacie. But until then, it looks like we’ll just have to hold our breath until the next episodes drop.
