Sophie Turner’s 2023 Was The “Year Of The Girlies” & She’s Predicting The Same For 2024

I’m someone who believes that everyone needs gal pals, especially when going through a breakup. There’s nothing better than turning to other women when dealing with heartbreak, and Sophie Turner is proof that having a core group of girlfriends will never go out of style.

On Jan. 2, the Game Of Thrones actress took to social media to reflect on her friendships with other women. Not only did she share how important these relationships were following her divorce from Joe Jonas in September 2023, but Turner also predicted that 2024 will be filled with her making even more memories with her gal pals by her side. Turner shared several photos of special moments with her friends throughout the year, including a group pic with Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter during a Chiefs game.

“2023 was the year of the girlies. 2024s forecast is looking fairly consistent,” she captioned the series of photos.

Since calling it quits from Jonas, Turner has been spotted out several times with her friends, including having a girls’ night dinner in NYC with Swift, GiGi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Brittany Mahomes, and Blake Lively in November 2023.

Of course, fans have been loving the company Turner’s been keeping over the last few months and have since flooded the comments praising the actress for her post-breakup glow-up.

“YES QUEEN!!! Living your ✨best✨ life,” one person wrote. “Matriarchy at its best,” another comment read. “The GIRLS have got u and that’s all u need,” said another follower.

It seems Turner wasn’t lacking support from her friends after her highly publicized divorce from Joe Jonas. I’m not going to lie, when the former couple announced that they were filing for divorce, I was heartbroken, especially since I was team Jophie from the start. Of course, the media had a field day with this news, with some outlets pointing fingers at Turner and her alleged “party girl lifestyle” as the reason behind the divorce. But thanks to her friends, Turner was able to take her mind off of her public divorce and custody dispute by going out and enjoying life with her gal pals.

Now that 2024 is here, I’m expected to see a lot more posts with the girlies on Turner’s Instagram feed. Who knows, we might even get some more snapshots with Swift and Carpenter, which the Swifties will eat right up. Here’s to a New Year filled with good times and supportive friend groups!
