Uh, Are Pete Davidson & Madelyn Cline Dating? The Internet Is Shocked

Breaking news: Pete Davidson has done it again — he’s dating another high-profile celebrity. If you have no clue what I’m talking about, it’s OK because I just found out too: Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline are reportedly dating. I’m shook, to say the least, because this was the least expected couple… but wait, why am I kinda here for it? Her Campus reached out to both Davidson’s and Cline’s teams for comment on the reports, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

According to a source close to Us Weekly, “Madelyn and Pete have been dating for several weeks but have grown close fairly quickly.” I beg your pardon? Davidson has rizz like no other, apparently, because he’s managed to pull so many gorgeous celebrities popular among Gen Z. His dating history is often discussed online for that reason: He was engaged to Ariana Grande back in 2018, had a short relationship with Kaia Gerber in 2020, dated Kim Kardashian just months after her divorce from Kanye West, and that’s not to mention his rumored fling with Emily Ratajkowski.

Most recently, he just split with the Bodies, Bodies, Bodies star Chase Sui Wonders after several months of dating. This man has the rizz of a god, but to be fair, who doesn’t fall head over heels for a funny man?

The new pair were seen together for the first time last week, where they spent the night at the Beverly Hills Hotel. During breakfast the next morning, the two were apparently private about meeting up and even wore baseball hats to hide themselves a bit.

The weekend of Sept. 23, however, Cline and Davidson were spotted in Las Vegas at the Resorts World hotel, where Davidson was there for a stand up comedy show at the Chelsea, according to The Sun. Cline reportedly went to support him and they only stayed in Sin City for 24 hours. But, during their time there, the pair was apparently inseparable. Cline has been very private about her past relationships, whereas Davidson hasn’t been known to hide from the paparazzi (see: his highly publicized relationships with Grande and Kardashian), making this pairing a new dynamic for both of them.

Cline’s dating history is a little more on the DL than Davidson’s. The Outer Banks star dated her co-star Chase Stokes for over a year before they called it quits in November 2021. (Stokes began dating musician Kelsea Ballerini earlier this year.) After that, she had what seems to have been a quick fling with DJ Zack Bia, and then went on to dating musician Jackson Guthy for over a year, but the two kept things very lowkey.

One surprising thing fans seem to be wondering about when it comes to this new couple is the age difference between Davidson and Cline. Davidson is actually only four years older than Cline, at 29 and 25 respectively, which I don’t think many fans realize since he was linked to 42-year-old Kim Kardashian in 2022.

Fans are also having an array of reactions about the new couple. Some aren’t in love with the idea of this couple, while others are, but mostly people seem to be baffled that they’ve possibly gotten together at all. There have been so many unexpected couples popping up this year, with Halsey and Avan Jogia as another new one!

I have no clue what to think about this new couple. For all we know, they’ll be end game, or it could just be another celebrity fling.
