We Need To Talk About Micah’s Friends From ‘Love Is Blind’

Warning: Spoilers for Love Is Blind Season 4 ahead. Season 4 of Love Is Blind is shaping up to be one of the messiest yet. Between Zack breaking up with Irina and going back to Bliss, and the whole Marshall-Jackie-Josh love triangle, this season is full of drama. And while Micah and Paul have had little relationship drama as of recently, Episode 8 introduced a few new people who really shook things up — in their relationship and on Twitter.

In the pods, Micah was torn between Paul and Kwame (who is currently with Chelsea). After breaking things off with Kwame, Micah and Paul got engaged. However, once Micah saw Kwame at the resort, things got a little messy. Micah constantly flirted with Kwame in front of her fianceé and Kwame’s, which caused a rift in both relationships. However, once the couple returned to “real life,” it seemed as though Micah and Paul were working on their relationship. So, when it was time for Paul to meet Micah’s friends, viewers knew they would be in for some relationship drama.

In Episode 8, Micah brought Paul to her best friend’s birthday to meet some of her closest friends in Seattle, namely Shelby and Mikayla. Right off of the bat, the two friends expressed concerns about Micah’s relationship. Yet, once Shelby asked Paul how serious he was about Micah, things grew tense. Like, really tense.

Throughout the conversation, Micah’s friends seemingly talked over Paul, questioned his attraction to her, and even insulted him to the point where Paul had to excuse himself.

Once Paul stepped away, Shelby began crying and told Micah that she doesn’t think Paul is “the one for her,” and continued to express her disapproval of Paul.

Because of the drama, Twitter has some opinions on how the meeting went.

However, some people do think that Shelby has Micah’s best interest at heart.

Mostly, though, Twitter users are drawing a comparison between Shelby and Micah’s show-BFF, Irina.

All in all, who’s to say anything? Here’s to hoping that Micah draws some boundaries with her friends for future relationships.
