Will There Be ‘Renaissance Tour’ Movie Theater Merch? This TikTok Says Maybe

The Beyhive is (literally) in for a treat. If you didn’t get tickets to see Beyoncé live during her Renaissance World Tour, you’ll soon be able to experience the history-making concert on the big screen. Beyoncé and Parkwood Entertainment announced that her new concert film, Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce, will be hitting theaters on Dec. 1 — and yes, tickets are now on sale! It’s also been rumored that special popcorn buckets and cups will be sold in theaters. Are we really getting special movie theater merch just like Swifties did during the Eras Tour movie

A video posted to TikTok on Nov. 9 says international theaters are, and it’s really one of the only things we have to go off of at the moment.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour was definitely one of the most exciting topics of the year. The singer toured from May 10, 2023 to Oct. 1, 2023 making stops in 10 countries and 39 cities. In the end, Beyoncé grossed $579 million and sold 27 million tickets, which is the highest-earning tour by a female artist in history. With her 2019 Netflix film Homecoming, Beyoncé proved that you don’t have to be at her concerts in-person to get the full experience… and she’s doing it again with Renaissance.

Those who missed the live tour will be able to see it in theaters beginning Dec. 1 in the U.S, Mexico and Canada. Tickets are now on sale, starting at $22.

As the Renaissance movie theater merch has been revealed for international cinemas, it hasn’t been announced whether it will be sold in U.S. theaters when the movie premieres.

Fans on Twitter are suspecting that the theater merch will be pricey, while others are excited about adding the fancy popcorn bucket and cup to their collection.

Others couldn’t help but to compare Beyoncé’s movie theater merch to that of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film.

The Renaissance Tour film will not only highlight fun moments from the concert, it will also showcase the hard work Beyoncé put into making her vision for the tour come to life.

It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft,” Parkwood has explained in a press release with AMC Theaters on Oct. 2.

Bey released the official trailer for the film on Nov. 9, giving fans a sneak peek at what they can expect beginning Dec. 1. “In this world that is very male dominated, I’ve had to be really tough,” she says in the trailer. “To balance motherhood and being on this stage, it just reminds me of who I really am.”

There’s no doubt this film will have movie-goers dancing and singing along to Bey’s songs. Similar to the Eras Tour movie, fans are encouraged to enjoy themselves when seeing this film. Even Parkwood Entertainment says it will be a “theatrical concert experience,” and “the monumental dance party that celebrates everyone’s right to be themselves, close to home.”

Don’t wait too long to join in on the party because Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce will only be in theaters for 4 weeks
