A whole year of music streaming has led up to this moment: the 2025 Spotify Wrapped release. At the end of every year, Spotify adds up the statistics reflecting its users’ listening habits. Every stream, every album on repeat, and every artist is taken into account. This year, Bad Bunny took the crown as the most streamed artist globally on Spotify, with 19.8 billion streams. And this is far from being his first accolade — Bad Bunny has topped Spotify Wrapped four times, and is the first artist to do so. He first took the top spot in 2020, and snagged the title again in 2021 and 2022.
It’s safe to say that 2025 has been the year of Bad Bunny. His 2025 hit album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS also claimed the Wrapped No. 1 streaming spot and is this year’s Global Top Album. The album, which celebrates Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rican heritage, inspired his massive San Juan concert residency, No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí, which sold out each of its 30 dates. Not to mention, in September, Bad Bunny was announced as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime performer.
To celebrate Bad Bunny’s accomplishments, Spotify has included Easter eggs for its users to find throughout the app, with nods to the artist’s music. Namely, Sapo Concho pops up in several spots. Sapo Concho is a Puerto Rican crested toad that became a mascot for Bad Bunny with the release of DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, and is usually spotted sharply dressed in a blue button-up top and red pants.
For this year’s Wrapped Sapo Concho comes to life in a short film made by Stillz and A1 Productions, in collaboration with Spotify. In the film, the frog travels around the globe, snapping pictures and witnessing the impact of Bad Bunny’s artistry. In one clip, he attends a Bad Bunny look alike contest, donning a Pava hat and brown wig. In another clip, he watches as a street mural is painted of himself, and snacks on a concha. Overall, the film shows how Bad Bunny has contributed to the spread and appreciation of Puerto Rican culture around the world.
But this isn’t the only place you’ll see Sapo Concho on the app. Top listeners of Bad Bunny can expect a special thank you message from the frog. Fans should also keep an eye out for him when listening to any DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS tracks. Specifically, keep an eye on the play button when playing or pausing the songs.
Bad Bunny also famously has a history of giving back to his community with his frequent charitable donations. In honor of this, Spotify is partnering with Good Bunny Foundation — a nonprofit organization founded by the singer — and Rimas Foundation to launch The Mobile Academy to help bring musical teaching and scholarships to students in Puerto Rico.
Bad Bunny seriously collects accomplishments left and right. All this being said, I can’t wait to see what he has in store for his Super Bowl halftime performance. I’ll be streaming DTMF until then.
