Twitter Wants More Aubrey Plaza & Jenna Ortega After The SAG Awards

Jenna Ortega and Aubrey Plaza being a dark and moody duo is something I didn’t know I needed until now. At the SAG Awards on Feb. 26, the queens of deadpan banded together to perform a hilarious bit at the award show.

Ortega has become known for her chilling stare and dark and twisty vibe from her role as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix show Wednesday. Plaza, who seems to be Ortega’s mother from another life, similarly has been revered for her dry humor and sarcasm just like her character Harper in HBO’s White Lotus. The two together make for a terrifying and powerful duo.

The bit, which started with them standing in awkward silence for 10 seconds, felt like a scene right out of their shows. Plaza and Ortega go on to jokingly question why they were paired together to present the award for Best Male Actor in a TV series as they “have nothing in common.” They prove this wrong as they spoke in unison about what they would do to the people who put them together for this award, showing off their iconic deadpans the whole time. The chemistry was undeniable, and Twitter can’t get over it. Fans are obsessing over these two together and begging for a dark comedy with them ASAP.

Ortega and Plaza are now Hollywood’s dark and moody mother and daughter. I don’t make the rules. Can we get them in a Gilmore Girls-esque show ASAP, but like spooky?

Maybe they are just long-lost siblings brought together by their iconic deadpans.

Fans are begging for Plaza and Ortega to be hosts for everything from now on, and honestly, so am I.

Sometimes you just need a friend to match your energy. The comedic bit has sparked an iconic friendship. Ah, I love it!
