Teron Smalls is a junior at Texas State University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English with a Communications minor. This is her first semester as a part of the writers team with Her Campus and she loves to discuss topics such as popular culture, political advocacy, fashion, and the college experience. Outside of the Her Campus organization, Teron works to hone her writing and editing skills as a lead consultant for the University Writing Center. She helps create a supportive environment for students and faculty as they collaborate on academic ideas such as organization, brainstorming, and concepts beyond revision.
Not only does Teron participate within groups that allow her creativity to flow, she also can be seen around the Texas State campus with student organizations such as Bobcat Yoga and Sigma Tau Delta. Being a part of the Bobcat community creates opportunities for growth, connections, and spreading kindness to those around her.
When Teron isn’t spending her time writing or attending social events, she is usually at the theater and rating movies on letterboxd, hanging out with family, singing her heart out at a concert, reading the latest fantasy novel, or fangirling over celebrities who have no idea she exists!
