Nahiomy Cruz Betancourt is a writer at Her Campus at UPR. Her articles generally cover movies, history, video games, and music.
Beyond Her Campus, Nahiomy has written articles for different news outlets in Puerto Rico such as Metro, Primera Hora, and Pulso Estudiantil. She has also written the short story “Overcoming Silence” for Volume 7 Number 2 of [IN]Genios which is a semiannual University of Puerto Rico literary and investigative magazine. She graduated in June of 2025 from the University of Puerto Rico with a major in Information and Journalism plus a minor in English Literature. Currently, she is in her first year of graduate school in the Communications field.
When she is not studying or writing, Nahiomy enjoys reading, playing video games, listening to old-school reggaetón, and impulse buying pretty Pokémon cards. She frequently watches 90’s to early 2000’s sitcoms and always has "10 Things I Hate About You" on repeat. The current game she is obsessed with is "Dress to Impress" on Roblox, but her all time favorite is "Stardew Valley."
