Mariana Toro Cruz is a writer for the Her Campus at UPR chapter. She covers a little bit of everything, from personal essays to book and movie reviews. Really, if a topic genuinely excites her, there's a good chance she'll end up writing about it. She has been writing since she was seven years old, when her favorite pastime was creating short stories.
Mariana is an undergraduate student at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, where she studies Sociology. Her studies have influenced the way she sees the world and often shape what she explores through her writing.
In her free time, Mariana enjoys experimenting with photography and spending time in nature, whether that is sitting by the beach or floating in a natural pool. She also loves reading, discovering new music, and finding her next favorite movie. These are the things that ground her and inspire much of what she does.
