Joelys N. Gelabert Cordero is a fourth-year student at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, double-majoring in Psychology and Hispanic Studies. With a deep curiosity for culture, history, and the experiences that shape our inner and outer worlds, Joelys writes to explore and reflect on the shared human condition. She enjoys diving into topics like wellness, emotional development, and cultural identity, often drawing from everyday life to spark meaningful conversations. She’s also been involved in a women's empowerment project that uses poetry as a tool for expression and social change. Outside of writing, you’ll likely find her experimenting with her new watercolor set, staying active, or soaking in the atmosphere at poetry readings and musical events. When she’s not writing or reflecting on life’s big questions, she’s probably daydreaming about her next slice of pizza.
