Emma Murphy is a first-time staff writer for Her Campus! She enjoys writing articles about pop-culture updates, lifestyle guides, and how to get the most out of your college experience. She currently has a column titled “HCFSU’s Sexiest Man of the Month,” where fellow members and viewers can nominate the hottest celebrities/influencers they think the world should know more about!
Outside of Her Campus, Emma is a current junior at FSU, double majoring in Advertising and English Literature. While writing for Her Campus, she’s also on her school’s competitive advertising team Arrowhead, where students from across the country compete to develop the best campaign for a selected client. As for past experiences, she’s interned as a graphic designer/illustrator at other local companies and organizations, such as FSU’s Club Downunder and STRIKE magazine.
In her free time, Emma is an avid concert-goer and loves everything to do with music. She’s seen over 20 artists live, attended 3 music festivals, and has an ever-growing vinyl collection. Other than music, Emma is a film-junkie and pop-culture connoisseur. She’s a superhero nerd (her favorite being Spider-Man) and is actively starting her comic-book-reading journey. When not consuming art, Emma loves to create it! You’ll typically catch her drawing on her iPad or sketching in notebooks during class.
