Be Your Mind’s Nurse

From a young age, we’re told we must face obstacles to grow.

These hardships shape us into better people.

Having this mindset can be exhausting.

When we’re sick, we take medicine and nurse ourselves.

However, when our heart or mind aches, we push ourselves.

If it’s not physical pain then why should we stop to take care of ourselves?

If you cut yourself, your nerves do a great job of showing how it hurts.

When you cause yourself emotional damage, there’s no physical indication that you’re hurt, but you can still feel the pain.

If you ignore this pain and cover it with a bandaid, eventually the bandaid will give out.
