Our Her Campus Valdosta member of the week is Rineta Rainey! She received the most views on her article, 5 Struggles of Being a Female Football Fan! She is a senior majoring in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations here at VSU. She is a new addition to our Her Campus team, as well as a member of FBLA! In her spare time, Rineta enjoys binge watching Shonda Rimes’s shows, hanging with friends, sleeping, and cooking.
Her favorite part about being in Her Campus so far is the energy, “Our members are so laid-back but we all strive to produce great work and make the Valdosta chapter one of the best out there. I love being part of a team where we’re strong individually and unstoppable when united.” Rineta’s love for sports and the football season are what inspired her article, “I feel like women often get left out of the conversation when it comes to more ‘masculine’ sports because people automatically assume we’re not interested which, isn’t the case. In fact a lot of women love football!” In terms of her article, Rineta is extremely excited about being this week’s member of the week, ““It’s surprising and also very exhilarating! This was my first article so I was not sure how it would turn out or how people would relate and respond. I am glad people enjoyed it!” She also left us with the fun fact that she has visited 48 out of the 50 states!
