September 11 marks the last day of Suicide Prevention Week and on September 10 we spread the word about suicide prevention because it was World Suicide Prevention Day–however suicide prevention should never stop.
People all around the world wore t-shirts promoting the #BeTheVoice #StopSuicide campaign to help spread the world about suicide prevention.

According to The American Psychological Association and the 2013 National College Health Assessment, “About one-third of U.S. college students had difficulty functioning in the last 12 months due to depression, and almost half said they felt overwhelming anxiety in the last year.”
American Psychological Assosiation, 2014
Between fitting homework into their schedules, fitting good health and diet into their schedules and fitting “fitting in” socially into their schedules, the number sadly has potential to keep rising. And, because of the hectic lives of these college students, we all need to look out for one another and be kind to one another.
Smile at strangers when walking around on campus, hold the door for the person behind you and always check in if somebody doesn’t seem okay.
If you think you know somebody that may be depressed or considering suicide, don’t hesitate to get help; it’s a serious issue and we’ve already lost too many good lives to this awful disease.
