The Ultimate Fall Bucket List

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MSU chapter.

1. Go to the cider mill

A must-do! There’s nothing like a trip to the cider mill on a sunny fall day.

2. Make pumpkin bread/muffins

Who needs pumpkin-scented candles when a fresh loaf of pumpkin bread will have the same effect? Spend the day trying out a fun pumpkin recipe like this one!

3. Go to a football game

Spend the day tailgating and grab tickets for a night game to have the ultimate college football experience.

4. Take a walk to see the leaves

Whether it’s at your local park or just around the block, take a walk to see the gorgeous fall colors.

5. Watch halloween movies

You can’t forget about Hocus Pocus! Order in a pizza, and watch some of your favorite Halloween flicks.

6. Make soup from scratch

Pinterest has so many different soup recipes, you may find yourself making more than one!

7. Have apple cider and donuts

If you didn’t get these on your trip to the cider mill (which would make you crazy!), pick some up and enjoy the perfect combination of apples and cinnamon.

8. Carve a pumpkin

You’ll find plenty of ideas online for this one. Carving not for you? Grab some paint and design your own unique pumpkin!

9. Make a pumpkin pie or apple pie

Better yet, make both! These classic fall favorites will have your neighbors wondering where that amazing smell is coming from.

10. Jump in a pile of leaves

Bring out your inner kid, and jump into a big pile of leaves! Raking would never be boring if you made this a regular occurrence.

11. Sit outside and drink hot chocolate

Put your phone away, and grab a big blanket and a mug of hot chocolate. Take some time for yourself.

12. Go to a corn maze

Just make sure you don’t watch Children of the Corn before you do so.

13. Roast s’mores by the fire

This fun summer treat is perfect for the fall. Nothing goes together like s’mores and a bonfire.

14. Go to the farmer’s market

You can pick up the ingredients for your pies! Check your local area for a list of farmer’s markets.

15. Read a new book

A good book and a cozy fire make for the perfect night in.

16. Go on a hayride

You’ll feel like a kid again and get to enjoy the fall colors. Bring some cider and donuts for a fun fall day.

17. Decorate your place with fun fall décor

Really make it feel like fall with some themed decorations. Better yet, once all of the Christmas décor comes out, head back and buy the fall goodies for 50-75 percent off!
