10 Songs to Add to Your Workout Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Providence chapter.

We get it! It’s the dead of winter, it’s super cold outside, the holidays are coming up and you really don’t feel like walking into the gym when the air hurts your face. But, around this time of the year, when there’s stress around finals and the nerves about starting a new semester plagues everyone- it’s more important than ever to stay healthy and sweat out those nerves! To help you out, we put together 10 of our favorite songs to add to your workout playlist to get that heart pumping.

1. Yeah! -Usher, Lil Jon, Ludacris

I mean really- how much do I need to say about this song? Best used when starting with some cardio to get your workout started.

2. Low- Flo Rida, T-Pain

Anyone who knows me knows that this song is my go-to, always; in or out of the gym! Amazing for heavy lifting.

3. Havana- Camilla Cabello

Leg day? Havana.

4. Wop – J. Dash

Remember when this song had its phase for about a week? Bring it back in the gym.

5. Gucci Gang- Lil Pump

Solid 2:05 right here. Totally gets you ready for a much-needed workout.

6. What Lovers Do- Maroon 5

I’m a huge Maroon 5 fan, and this song totally didn’t disappoint! Awesome beat to keep you going when you’re ready to quit.

7. Bodak Yellow- Cardi B

Doesn’t matter what anyone says- this song is a jam!

8. The Cure- Lady Gaga

Yes, it’s slow, but it’s perfect for when you’re starting to stretch out and finish up.

9. New Rules- Dua Lipa

I just heard this song for the first time a few days ago, and it’s such a solid girl-power song! Amazing for the gym.

10. Hallelujah- Tori Kelly

Hallelujah- my workout is over! Seriously- stretch out to this one (after The Cure, of course).

Happy lifting, ladies!
