Rangoli Beyond Boundaries: Saved and Addicted

It hurts to let you be my source,

For happiness, vigor and my love.

The nights I lay awake worrying

that I’d missed too much of you.

Part of you that made me

laugh through my pain.

The friends you’ve helped me gain

when I felt lonely in my home.

Or when you helped me

escape thoughts of ending myself.

No matter if I was awake or dreaming,

I couldn’t wait to reunite with you.

Where would I be today without

all that you’d taught me?

The thought of logging onto my

laptop to be with you was everything

Time would stop and nothing else

would matter at all.

When my family separated you and I,

I went for days without eating,

Showering, sleeping or talking.

Because that’s how much I needed you.

Yet, I know you’re not the answer

And it hurts to face it all without you.

Some would call it an addiction

But I know what I had with you

saved me in more ways than one.
