The McDonald’s X Susan Alexandra Drink Collab Is For The Foodies & Fashionistas

It’s a great week to be a trend lover. Whether you’re a fashion fanatic or the first to know when the new must-have food item drops — or you’re truly on top of it and keep tabs on both worlds — the latest update from McDonald’s is going to have something for you. On April 28, McDonald’s announced a brand-new lineup of beverages, as well as a collab with one of Gen Z’s favorite designers to celebrate the drinks.

ICYMI, beverages are a huge status symbol these days. Based on what you choose to drink, you can tell the world about how tapped in you are with pop culture. And even if that doesn’t matter all that much to you, getting a delicious beverage is just fun — and there’s been no shortage of new and interesting drinks to try from some of the biggest brands around. Now, McDonald’s is getting in on the action with a collection of specialty drinks in the form of three crafted sodas (SLOMW, your impact!) and three Refreshers.

Our beverages won’t just be a reason you come to McDonald’s, they’ll be the reason,”Alyssa Buetikofer, the Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s USA, said in a press release about the new drinks. “We’ve taken the time to get this right, introducing new drinks that are hand-crafted with bold flavors and quality ingredients our fans can taste in every sip.”

McDonald’s Teamed Up With Susan Alexandra For The Launch.

Now this is where the fashion part comes in. To celebrate the launch of its iconic-sounding bevs, McDonald’s teamed up with an iconic designer, Susan Alexandra, to offer a limited run of accessories — namely, drink carriers so you can tote around your sodas and Refreshers in style.

In typical Susan Alexandra style, the beaded designs have adorable touches, such as vibrant colors and bow details. Each one corresponds to a new McDonald’s drink and range in price from $42 to $58. They’ll be available to purchase on the Susan Alexandra website starting May 6 until supplies last — and, bonus, each one will come with a $10 McDonald’s Arch Card so you can pick up a new drink to fill the carrier.

The New McDonald’s Drinks Sound So Fun.

Speaking of the new drinks, here’s what McDonald’s has brewing: The crafted sodas are McDonald’s take on classic sodas, with some elevated twists. there’s the Sprite Berry Blast, which infuses Sprite with blue raspberry syrup and topped with cold foam; the Orange Dream, a mix of Hi‑C Orange Lavaburst and vanilla flavor, also topped with cold foam; and the Dirty Dr Pepper, layering Dr Pepper and vanilla flavors and — you guessed it — a cold foam topper. As for the Refreshers, they’re going to be caffeinated lemonades coming in three fruity flavors. There’s the Strawberry Watermelon Refresher, which features strawberry and watermelon flavors, plus freeze‑dried strawberries; the Mango Pineapple Refresher, a mix of mango and pineapple flavors with strawberry popping boba; and the Blackberry Passion Fruit Refresher, pairing blackberry and passion fruit flavors with freeze‑dried dragon fruit. All six new beverages will be available on McDonald’s permanent menu May 6.
