Finding the right hair care products can be a challenge. Especially for people with dyed or colored hair, testing and trying out new items can be intimidating. Luckily, I have the perfect list of products that will guarantee a magical blowout every time.
When it comes to blowouts, there isn’t just one exact way to get the perfect look that you’re envisioning. Make sure to take creative liberty and do more research into the best routine for you and your hair!
- OLAPLEX Nº.7 Bonding Oil
-
This is one of my favorite beauty products of all time. As an avid OLAPLEX customer and fan, I’ve used the oil almost every day since I discovered it. Bad hair day? Turn to the oil. Frizzy hair because of the wind? Turn to the oil.
This product is on the expensive side, but its quality and longevity make it worth every penny. I recommend using a drop of oil before and after blow-drying your hair. Not only does it tame hair and make it shiny, but it also acts as a heat protectant. It also won’t stain any hair type or color.
- OLAPLEX Nº.6 Bond Smoother
-
This product is the most essential part of a successful blowout. It bonds the hair, detangles it, acts as a heat protectant, and reduces frizz. It also prevents breakage to the hair, which is something that’s commonly overlooked when it comes to creating a hair routine.
Most OLAPLEX products are known to be on the pricier side. This one isn’t the most affordable, but, like the Nº. 6 oil, many factors make it well worth it. It’s suggested to use this serum after washing and before styling your hair for the best effect. Pro tip: let the serum soak in your hair for about 10 minutes before using heat to let it work its magic.
- Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner
-
Moroccanoil is one of the best hair lines out there, and this product is part of a bigger set of Moroccanoil Moisture Repair. It repairs all hair types, and I’d especially recommend this product to people with dyed hair. It’s infused with argan oil, keratin proteins, and fatty acids to moisturize hair.
Make sure to apply this conditioner to the ends of your hair and leave it in for at least 10 minutes in the shower before washing it out with cold water to prevent breakage and protect hair color, if needed.
- Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer
-
Finally, the most important step of a perfect blowout is the type of hair dryer you use. While you should have discretion with this product, depending on your hair type, it can be a staple in your hair routine.
The way that this brush is made allows for a lot of flexibility in the way that you curl your hair around it. Many different styles can be attained with just one brush, which is rare to find for such a relatively cheap product. It’s sold at Walmart for only $50, compared to other products like the Dyson Airwrap, which goes for around $400.
It’s hands down the best product for detangling and adding volume efficiently. I’ve done full blowouts in under 30 minutes with this brush.
Overall, blowouts can be an essential hairstyle, and finding the right hair product doesn’t have to be as difficult as it seems. With the proper research done, it can be simple to put together a hair guide that works wonders. Putting together the perfect blowout takes a combination of techniques and skill; making sure to use products that work with your hair type is essential.
Whether you use these products or not, everyone should have a hair routine that will give them the best volumizing blowout, for a salon finish that’ll boost your confidence every time.
