In the midst of midterms chaos, it is normal to get stressed by the overwhelming workload whether its exams, quizzes, projects or presentations. However, there are ways to ease these hectic times and stay on top of everything. Here are some tips:

Plan Your Days

Make a schedule or a planner to organize your days. Scheduling times to study daily can be helpful so that you have set times that you will set said specific moments to focus on your exams or important assignments. By preparing a study schedule, you’ll one able to figure out how much time you have to dedicate to each class and avoid cramming everything at the last minute.

Take Breaks

It is okay to take breaks. Taking breaks can be as simple as taking a small nap to recharge, going on a quick walk or spending time with friends. Breaks are crucial when you’re studying for long periods of time because they help your mind reset and prevent burnout. Stepping away for a few minute can actually make it easier to return to your work feeling refreshed and more focused.

Listen to Your Favorite Music

If you’re going to studying for a long time, listening to your favorite music can help the process more enjoyable. Music can life your mood and keep you motivated while preparing for midterms. Consider making a study playlist with songs that help you concentrate and keep your energy up while you review notes or complete practice problems.

Lean on friends

It is more than likely that your friends are in the same boat as you. While it may not be fun, you can try to make the most out of it. Going to the library to study together and quizzing each other on important material, or simply keeping each other company while working can make the whole process feel less overwhelming.

Take Care of Yourself

During midterms, it can be easy to forget about basic self-care. Make sure you are eating proper meals, staying hydrated, and taking some time to relax if you can. Taking care of your physical and mental wellbeing will help you stay energized and focused throughout the week.
