6 Summer Borg Recipes To Try For All Your Day Parties

As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, summer vacation is quickly approaching. Thanks to High School Musical’s “What Time Is It,” we know that summertime equals party time! For those Gen Zers that are 21 and over, one of the most trendy ways to party this summer includes a concoction called a borg

Borgs, which are made in gallon-sized water jugs, have become immensely popular over the last couple of years. Borgs are easy to customize and have similar ingredients to jungle juice, although borgs include a bit more hydration. Instead of sugary juice and five types of alcohol, borgs contain water, hard liquor, water flavoring like Crystal Light or MiO, and electrolytes. The important thing about borgs is to be mindful when mixing.

If you are lacking creativity or bartending skills to create your own borg drink, I have compiled a list of borg recipes to try this summer from mindful drinking blog Sunnyside as well as TikTok.

Herbal Gin Infusion Borg

1-gallon jug filled ⅔ of the way with water

1 cup of gin

2 Chamomile tea bags

1 cucumber, sliced

1 bunch of mint leaves

2 oz of lime juice

1 cup of simple syrup

1 cup of Pedialyte

Stay refreshed all night long with this minty borg. Not only will it be like drinking a yummy mojito, but the mint will also keep your breath smelling fresh, too.

Spicy Pineapple Borg

1-gallon jug filled ⅔ of the way with water

1 cup of jalapeno vodka

2 packets of Crystal Light pineapple mix

1 cup of frozen pineapple chunks
The perfect mixture of sweet and spicy! This borg is for anyone looking for an extra little kick. I would recommend not chugging this one, though, for your stomach’s sake.

Summer Mixtape Borg

1-gallon jug filled ⅔ of the way with water

1 packet of Crystal Light lemonade mix

1 packet of Pedialyte fruit punch mix

Fruit punch MiO to taste

1 cup of triple sec

1 cup of vodka

This borg is made out of the best parts of summer. I would recommend adding the MiO in last, so you can taste-test it with all of the ingredients already mixed in.

Bougie Borg

1-gallon jug filled ⅔ of the way with water

1 cup of frozen blueberries and sugar, melted and stirred into a syrup

3 watermelon-flavored popsicles

1 cup of vodka

1 tsp of edible glitter

1 packet of blueberry lavender Liquid IV

Have a special event this summer? Think about adding a Bougie Borg to your plans. The edible glitter will take it to the next level.

Fizzy Borg

1-gallon jug filled ⅔ of the way with water

2 cups vodka

Cherry blackberry MiO to taste

6 pack of Pomegranate Berry Plink

For this to carbonate correctly, make sure you seal the container right after the Plink is added. After letting it sit in the fridge, you’ll have your customized borg.

Celcius Borg

1-gallon jug filled ⅔ of the way with water

2 cups vodka

1 sparkling wild berry Celcius

Mixed Berry MiO to taste

1 pack of lemon lime Liquid IV

In the words of Hannah Montana, “Mix it all together, and you know it’s the best of both worlds.” Remember to drink responsibly and have fun!
