Working With the Moon: Manifesting Through Intention

This past Tuesday, March 21st, there was a New Moon in Aries. This New Moon was very impactful to my personal energetic field, as the Sun and Moon both entered Aries within 24 hours of each other! Based on your birth chart, there are many ways to see how the Sun and Moon transits can affect what is going on around you or the areas of your life that are calling for more attention.

With this, there are also many different ways to use this energy to your benefit. Manifesting and its various methods, while becoming more popularized through social media, have been around for like, ever. To utilize these methods of manifestation, a lot of the power behind the energy comes from intention. Intentions can be used with anything, anywhere, and can bring an instant boost of energy and confidence. From previous experience, some people call it the placebo effect; to this I reply… but it’s working

Energetic peaks from the moon are the most frequent transit that we experience, as the moon moves through the twelve zodiac signs every 2-3 days. When the moon cycle reaches Full or New, the Moon is at one of its best positions to work with. (Some people who menstruate use their cycle to set intentions with the moon; the moon and menstrual cycles are each approximately 28-31 days!)

Our next Full Moon is on Thursday, April 6th and peaks at 12:34am EST. Nicknamed the “Pink Moon,” this Full Moon is notable for its influences on Spring weather and themes, like fertility and nature. Additionally, this Full Moon is a great opportunity to use Aries energy for Spring cleaning, cleansing, and reflection. When setting intentions for this Full Moon, keep these themes in mind. As you set intentions, feel the increased energy in these respective areas having your back on the journey to your manifestations.

OprahDaily offers a helpful suggestion as you start your journey in manifestation: “Whatever you desire, though, one thing is essential: Make your intention as specific as possible. Lombardo says, “The more clear and concise, the better.” Instead of, for example, saying, “I want to meet my soulmate,” develop a detailed picture of what that person would look like (think: qualities, characteristics, values, etc.)”
