Here at Oregon State, there are a wide variety of PAC classes (Physical Activity Classes) available for students to take that work towards fulfilling the required BACC Core. Step Aerobics, or PAC 108, is one of those choices and a really fun way to fit exercise in to your busy schedule.
1. You’ll try to find the perfect spot, whether that’s right near the teacher, in the back so no one can see your mess ups, or right in the middle so you can see the teacher but still screw up a bit.
2. You don’t think 50 minutes could possibly pass by so slow and yet so fast at the same time. Normally, 30 minutes is devoted to your warm up and work out, then afterwards you stretch and cool down with the instructor.
3. You warm up with exercise bands or weights.
4. Some dance moves may get mixed in to your warm up. Then you transition to basic left, right, and easy steps.
5. All your favorite songs are playing, remixed in time to your exercising.
6. You do lunges, jumping jacks, planks, all in order to stretch your body before and after your work out.
7. You do around the world, across the top, corner to corner and so many more moves you’ve never heard of.
8. There are always at least one or two people in your class that do all the moves in double time and don’t ever seem to break a sweat.
