Dream job?
I won’t need a job; I’m hittin the lottooo.

Proudest skill?
Beruit…my solo call is near perfect.

If you could meet somebody dead or alive, who would they be and why?
Tiger Woods. Lets just be real hes a G, and I’m calling it he will win the Masters.

Cats or dogs?
Dogs 100%, cats are seriously lame.

Whats the best piece of advice that you’ve received?
“Keep your f-ing stick on the ice!” Thanks pops, I scored alot of goals by doing that.

Proudest moment?
When I got pulled over twice in less than 24 hours and got out of them both. My acting skills are superb and no… I didn’t cry. Stupid cops.

One fact that most people don’t know about you.
Little did everyone know I’m a triplet.

If you could run away and elope with a celebrity, who would they be and why?
I would have to say Eva Mendes. Screw Ryan Gosling, what does he have on me?

Biggest turn-ons?
A girl who can drive stick, who can throw a frisbee, who watches Entourage, and a girl with nice legs is a must.

Biggest turn-offs?
Agirl who bench presses more than me, who can drink me under the table, and a girl who uses makeup a lot is just not my type.

Name: Kerry Michael Ecker
Hometown: Weston, Massachusetts
Age: 20
Major: Undeclared (Hopeful Business Major/Computer Science Minor)
Relationship Status: Single

He’s responsible, well rounded, and loves JCrew. Meet this week’s single and “authentic” Campus Cutie, Kerry Ecker.

HC (HerCampus): So you’re an RA here at Wake. Can you tell me how you became one?
KE (Kerry Ecker): I became good friends with a sophomore last year who was an RA. He was really different from me, but we’re such good friends that I figured it would be good to be an RA, too, and help kids adjust to college since it’s not easy for everyone. I had an easier time getting into the groove of college than others, so I figured it would be good to help kids who have a less easy time.

HC: Do you like being an RA?
KE: It’s a tradeoff. I’d like to be living on the halls with my fraternity brothers, but I like having my own space too.

HC: And you’re in Chi Psi? Why did you choose to pledge them?
KE: I found friends last fall that I got really close to who were in Chi Psi, and the first frat party I went to, I actually met the fraternity’s president and started up a conversation. And, well, the rest is history.

HC: I know you like to climb in your spare time. Tell me more about that.
KE: Well last year I was going to go somewhere with two of my friends, but they said we had to stop at the Crux first (that’s where the climbing wall is.) While I was there, another friend of mine convinced me to try to climb one of the walls. I ended up trying it and falling in love with it.

HC: That’s really cool. So what else do you like to do on campus?
KE: I played club lacrosse last fall, and I tried to do a lot of service with an organization called VOICES.

HC: What does VOICES do?
KE: We go into low income subsidized housing for few hours a few days a week and help kids with schoolwork and play with them. It’s good to give them positive role models. But this year I have a lot of classes during when we go so I haven’t been able to go yet. My RA from last year actually helped start VOICES. It stands for Volunteer Organization Inspiring Change and Ending Suffering. It took me forever to remember that!

HC: (Laughing) So tell me about your life back home.
KE: Well I’m from outside of Boston – Weston, Massachusetts. And I have an older brother and two older sisters.

HC: Wow, you are the youngest? What was it like being the youngest of four?
KE: I was exposed to everything at a younger age. I kind of learned from them, and did things my own way. My parents also gave me a lot more freedom to be independent and make my own choices.

HC: I bet you learned a lot from watching them ahead of you. Now that you’re basically grown up, what would you say is your favorite thing about yourself?
KE: I like that I’m a consistent person. I try to do things the most logical way, and things that make sense, and stick to them.

HC: Those are great qualities to have. So what kinds of qualities do you look for most in a girl?
KE: A good personality. Someone confident. And smart is a huge one, but not in-your-face smart, like a know-it-all (Laughs). She needs to be secure, and have her own things going on. She can’t depend on others for her happiness; she needs to have her own things to make her happy.

HC: Can you tell us about your guilty pleasure?
KE: Really long showers?

HC: (Laughter)
KE: Well, I guess Internet shopping. I’m into JCrew.com. I’m actually looking to expand my long-sleeved polo collections. It’s probably what I’ll wear for my photo shoot (laughing).

HC: What about your favorite chick-flick?
KE: Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies, actually. Clueless, too. (Laughing) I really like Clueless…two of the great high school movies. My favorite romantic comedy is Superbad. It’s, like, my go-to movie.

HC: (Laughing) That movie’s hilarious. So I guess besides laughing, how else do you let off steam?
KE: Some form of exercise. Bowling—I love to bowl. I like to go for walks too.

HC: Where do you walk?
KE: Anywhere, and I just keep walking ‘till I see someone I know.

HC: Do you listen to music when you walk?
KE: No. It’s good personal time. I like to be able to think to myself.

HC: You probably need the mental breather when you’re so busy.
KE: Yeah I definitely do.

HC: For the sake of nostalgia, can you tell the readers about something you did in high school?
KE: Like what?

HC: How did you ask a girl to prom?
KE: I made a t-shirt with a…what do you call those things? Like an acrostic thing on it, and we went to the Newport mansions in Rhode Island for a school trip. I was wearing the shirt under my sweatshirt, and I took off the sweatshirt in front of the Breakers Mansion. It’s the biggest mansion in Newport. She still has the shirt. It went:

Dana P. White

Dancing
All
Night
At
Prom together
Would be
Hysterical,
Insane and
Totally
Exciting

You in?

HC: (Laughing) Aw, that’s so cute! So I’m guessing she said yes?
KE: Well, funny story: Dana’s best friend didn’t have a date, and a friend of mine didn’t have one either, so I said to my friend, “Hey I’m friends with everyone, so why don’t I go with Dana’s friend, and you go with Dana?” And we all went, even though Dana was my best friend and I really wanted to take her.

HC: That’s so selfless and sweet!
KE: Yeah, it still ended up being a great time. I was class president, too, so I actually helped put the prom together. It was awesome.

HC: What’s one last thing you want Her Campus to know about you that makes you unique?
KE: (Gestures friend over) What’s one thing that makes me unique?
Friend Kristi: Kerry is authentic. He genuinely cares about people. Kerry cares.

The ladies here are the best of the best- they have brains and beauty. Most girls I’ve met on campus are so smart, pretty, outgoing, ambitious, and talented. In addition to these strong qualities, many girls are also down-to-earth and have a great sense of humor. That counts a lot!

HC: What is your favorite Pitt memory?

Name: Patrick Hovsepian
Year: Junior
Major: Computer Science
Hometown: Chelmsford, MA

Relationship Status: Single

Interests/Activities: I’m a total nerd at heart; I love anything that has to do with computers! When I’m not being a complete geek, I’m hanging out and doing those kinds of things that kids like me do nowadays. I’m big into music and I love skateboarding. You’ll probably see me cruising around campus at some point this year and, if you’re lucky, you might even witness me wipeout as I’m known for taking regular spills. One of my major interests is food and therefore I thoroughly enjoy cooking. Above all else, I don’t think there’s anything better than being surrounded by great company and even better conversations.

Describe your dream girl: Oh my, my dream girl you say… Well, for starters, she’s going to have to put up with me and that, my dear, is no easy task. If she sticks around, she has to be witty, spontaneous, and downright hilarious. I want to be able to have intelligent conversations one minute and jocular exchanges the next. Not only that, but she has to have a killer smile too; one of those smiles that can light up the whole room – I love those. Beauty may momentarily capture my attention but I’ve been known to get distracted easily. I need someone that can keep up with me and yet keep me focused all the while.

Fun fact? I know how to solve a Rubik’s cube in less than 2 minutes.

Pet peeves? I have a very minimal tolerance for incessant whiners and liars!

Biggest turn on? Nothing beats an entertaining conversation.

Embarrassing confession? I’m usually always in the mood to shop because I love clothes!

If you could have one superpower what would it be? I would love to have the ability to make food appear by snapping my fingers.

Hottest outfit a girl can wear? Ladies, simply put, anything formfitting is hot.

Celebrity crush? Adriana Lima

When was your first kiss? Way back in 2006 when I was an innocent high school freshman.

What do girls like best about you? My ability to spontaneously surprise them

Best compliment you’ve received? “You’re real – that’s cool.”

Ideal first date? I imagine my ideal first date being at a street-side café in the city. It would consist of a conversation that gets lost in time and quite possibly a kiss, if she plays her cards right.

Favorite TV. show? Wilfred!

If you were a type of alcohol, what would you be and why? Beer! Drink it quickly or take your time – it’ll get the job done.

Craziest thing a girl has done for you? Listen to me debug a program… it’s not very pretty.

If you were stranded on an island, whom would it be with? My little puggle puppy Toby! Tobias and I love adventures!

I am completely terrified of? Honestly, disappointing my father.

Future plans? Ideally, I see myself graduating and then finding a job that will hopefully pay for a portion, if not all, of grad school; I’d like to at least earn my masters. I contemplated staying in school long enough to get a PHD but I don’t think I’ll pursue that dream anytime soon given our current economic situation. One day, I aspire to work as a software developer on breakthrough projects that advance humanity as a whole; I want to do something cool!

What’s your best feature? My irresistible charm

How do you feel about being this week’s campus cutie? Like a rock star.

Name: Chris Dunn

Major: Computer Engineering
Hometown: Boston, MA
Campus Involvement: Phi Kappa Tau
Interests: Hockey, Phi Kappa Tau, Music, Football, Basketball, Frisbee
Relationship Status: Single
Dream Girl: You
Dream Job: Work for The Chive
Favorite Quote: “Some say the glass is half full, some say the glass is half empty, I just say- are you going to finish that?”
Interesting Fact: My head is full of useless sports information
[pagebreak]
Name: Michael K. Hoblin Jr.

Single or Taken: Taken
Major: Undeclared/ Intended Computer Science

What he’s looking for in a significant other: Cute, Caring, Happy girl that likes snuggling….and is ok with some of my geekier interests

Why he picked Fordham: I’ve wanted to go to Fordham since Kindergarten because my parents met here. I love the campus, the people, and Sodexo.

Campus Involvement: ROTC Cadet, Pershing Rifles, and Ranger Challenge Team.

Hobbies: Running, drawing, singing, dancing, pretending I’m too masculine to sing and dance, and is Reddit a hobby?

Favorite Pick-Up Line: I think pick up lines are disgusting and that they objectify women. What truly matters is getting to know what’s on the inside of a person. A pickup line simply circumvents this process by attempting to get physical affection before truly getting to know someone. (Works every time.)

What is your guilty pleasure? Taking naps in a hot bath tub….texting in the shower.

What is one thing that you do not understand about the opposite sex? Why girls get away with everything that they don’t let you get away with.

What is your hidden talent? Untangling Slinkies.

If you were forced to sing karaoke, what song would you sing? “I Want It That Way”, Backstreet Boys…. And there’s no need to force.

Do you prefer to make the first move or have her come to you? I prefer to make the first move, the chase is always half the fun. People always place dates on when they first officially started dating, they don’t seem to realize that you’re relationship with that person (on an individual level more so than as a couple) truly begins and starts growing when you realize that this is the person you want to be with.

What’s on your Fordham bucket list? I want to rappel off of Keating, but let’s keep that between us.

What is the best way a girl can get your attention? By just being herself and not trying to impress anyone. I prefer a girl who’s dressed cutely and comfortably as opposed to one who’s frozen ass is about to fall out of the 2 inches of skirt that she thought was a good idea to wear out….in January.

What is your flirting technique? I’m a quirky guy. I talk about the things that interest and inspire me, not the ones that I think are impressive. I’d like to hope that women find it endearingly different from the guys that they’re used to getting hit on by, and even go so far as trust me a bit more because of my genuine honesty and confidence in who I am as a person

What is your life motto? That every guy who writes “YOLO” here should be immediately disregarded and subject to a public humiliation on campus.

When people point in pictures.

What are you involved in on campus?
Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honors Society, Northwestern Formula Racing and NUX Studios.

What’s your idea of a perfect first date?
Well I like cities, and I like skyscrapers. So we would go out to a really nice dinner on top of whatever “that building” is in whatever city we were in and after that we would play laser tag. A little bit of fancy, a little bit of fun.

What impresses you about a girl?
Wit. The ability to make a good comeback.
