Which Tarot Card Will Guide Your Energy This Spooky Season?

Updated Published

Halloween is the perfect time for magic and self-discovery. So, what is the best way to tap into that than with a Tarot reading that’s tailored to your zodiac sign?

I’ve always been curious about Tarot cards, but never really understood what the cards meant beyond what I’ve seen on social media or in movies. Lately, however, I found myself drawn to the ritual of pulling a Tarot card and reflecting on what I could reveal about my energy or mindset. To me, it feels like a mirror for the soul, where the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds feels much more realized —  especially during Halloween.

So, in honor of the season of the witch, I spoke with astrologers Lisa Stardust, Hily Dating App’s astrologer, who has been practicing astrology for over 15 years, and Joanne Jones, Astrologer at Trusted Psychics, to reveal the Tarot card that will guide your energy for this Halloween. Together, they revealed the Tarot card that will help you guide your energy this Halloween, with some cosmic tips and rituals to help you embrace it. Whether you are manifesting, releasing, or just wanting clarity, these readings invite you to step into your most intuitive self this spooky season.

Aries: The Star & The Tower

This card pairing is based on renewal and revelation. The Star represents hope, inspiration, and new beginnings, while The Tower signifies sudden change and breakthroughs. “Keep your eyes open, you might meet someone special at a Halloween party,” Stardust says. “Don’t be your worst enemy and surrender to the universe.” Jones adds, “The Tower is about setting change and major revelations. Embrace the chaos, it’s clearing space for something better!”

For this Halloween, Aries energy is electric. So think of bold costumes, making dramatic entrances to parties, and having striking makeup. The cards encourage embracing spontaneity and being open-minded to surprises, even if it feels overwhelming.

Cosmic tip: Try a candle burning ritual to release what no longer serves you. Write down some fears or limiting beliefs, and let the flames clear them away!

Taurus: 5 of Swords & The Hierophant

This card pairing is based on authenticity and self-reflection. The 5 of Swords usually symbolizes inner conflict or tension, while The Hierophant represents wisdom, tradition, and spiritual guidance. Stardust advises, “Don’t let the mask you wear on Halloween hide who you are. Allow your true self to be seen.” Jones also notes, “Question which beliefs or habits are genuinely yours versus what you inherited. Journaling about your values helps.”

Cosmic tip: Carve a pumpkin with the symbol or sigil that represents your spiritual path, and protect your secrets with an evil eye charm.

Gemini: Justice & The Magician

This card pairing is based on balance and manifestation. Justice reflects fairness and accountability, while The Magician is about creativity and confidence. Stardust says, “Revenge on an ex is sweet, but moving on with someone new is sweeter. Take back your power.” Jones adds onto this and says, “This Halloween, use your natural wit and cleverness to manifest your intentions. Scripting your ideal future under candlelight.”

Cosmic tip: Light a black candle to banish negativity and your intentions out loud.

Cancer: 10 of Cups & The Moon

This card pairing is based on emotional fulfillment and intuition. The 10 of Cups represents happiness and harmony, while The Moon symbolizes intuition, illusion, and self-reflection. Stardust shares that “Happily ever after is now a reality. You’re in a good emotional headspace for positive growth.” Jones also notes, “Since the Moon rules Cancer, you may feel pulled toward the magical side, but also need to navigate your shadow self. A moonwater bath is perfect.”

Cosmic tip: Take an Epsom salt bath and light a silver or white candle to cleanse your energy and invite clarity into your life.

Leo: The Devil & Strength

This card pairing is based on temptation and courage. The Devil symbolizes obsession or temptation, while Strength represents compassion, inner power, and bravery. Stardust warns, “When you’re not obsessing over others, you can be the most popular person at the party. Opt for the latter.” Jones adds, “Your Strength card encourages bravery and heart-centered action. Show emotional courage, not just confidence.”

Cosmic tip: Meditate to release negative thoughts and burn a list of fears safely while proclaiming, ‘My power comes from within.’

Virgo: The Hierophant & The Hermit

This card pairing is based on wisdom and reflection. The Hierophant connects to structure and tradition, while The Hermit invites deep reflection. Stardust says, “Playing by the rules is throwing you off, but you’d rather act like a treat than trick others with your sorcery.” Jones notes, “Virgos love introspection, and The Hermit encourages reflection. Create a sacred solo space and pull a Tarot card to guide your season.”

Cosmic tip: Journal your emotions to track growth and stay grounded.

Libra: Seven of Coins (also known as Seven of Pentacles) & Justice

This card pairing is based on patience and clarity. The Seven of Coins reflects perseverance and progress, while Justice stands for balance and truth. Stardust suggests, “Just because you’re burning the midnight oil doesn’t mean you can’t dress up and go out. Enhance your social calendar before burnout.” Jones adds, “Justice aligns with your need for fairness. Weigh heavy decisions or unresolved conflicts and ask for cosmic clarity.”

Cosmic tip: Fold unresolved dilemmas under a black candle for insight and reflection. Stretch and move your body to stay energized.

Scorpio: The Sun & Death

This card pairing is based on rebirth and transformation. Stardust encourages, “This is your time to shine! Let people into your dark world and show your core self.” Jones notes, “The Death card symbolizes transformation. Bury a keepsake or burn a letter to release the old and step into power.”

Cosmic tip: Listen to your intuition and embrace shadow work for personal growth.

Sagittarius: Ace of Coins (also known as Ace of Pentacles) & Temperance

This card pairing is based on opportunity and balance. The Ace of Coins symbolizes new beginnings, while Temperance encourages moderation and peace. Stardust says, “This Halloween could be the start of something boo-ti-ful. Be present to enjoy the festivities.” Jones adds, “Temperance reminds you to turn wild desires into long-term goals. Find balance and harmony in your adventures.

Cosmic tip: Have a calming herbal tea while journaling about including more harmony in your life.

Capricorn: Eight of Cups (also known as Eight of Pentacles) & The Devil

This card pairing is based on release and discipline. The Eight of Cups signals emotional withdrawal or searching for deeper meaning, while The Devil highlights attachment and control. Stardust notes, “You might be lost in your own world, but escapism can be uplifting.” Jones adds, “The Devil challenges limitations. Identify a toxic behavior or belief, bundle it, and bury it to reclaim your power.”

Cosmic tip: Spend time in your fantasies safely and embrace discipline without self-denial.

Aquarius: King of Swords & The Star

This card pairing is based on renewal and clarity. The King of Swords represents logic and communication, while The Star brings hope and spiritual insight. Stardust advises, “Don’t hex others with salty words. Choose kindness over saying things that cut deep.” Jones adds, “The Star inspires hope and cosmic insight. Stargazing or vision boarding under moonlight can re-ignite your dreams.”

Cosmic tip: Smudge your aura with sage and light blue candles to open yourself to insight and clarity.

Pisces: The World & The Hanged Man

This card pairing is based on completion and surrender. The World symbolizes wholeness and accomplishment, while The Hanged Man reflects patience and perspective. Stardust shares, “Pumpkin spice and everything nice! Allow yourself to live your spookiest life.” Jones notes, “The Hanged Man is about surrender and perspective. Trust pauses, they lead to deeper truths.”

Cosmic tip: Wear a purple talisman or try water scrying to enhance abundance and intuition.

Happy Halloween!
