The Sports Bra Challenge Presented by S.E.A.K.

Feeling strong? Feeling empowered? Did you wake up this morning ready to take on the world? I dare you to bottle up your confidence, sustain that courage, and use your admirable strength for a great cause happening Thursday, May 17th in New York City: The Sports Bra Challenge.

The Sports Bra Challenge, presented annually by the S.E.A.K. Foundation, is a daylong charity fitness event during National Women’s Health Week that aims to promote the strength and empowerment of women. A series of group fitness classes will be offered throughout the day and participants will don their sports bras, supporting and empowering one another to feel comfortable in their bodies – exactly as they are.

Classes include two, 100 bike SoulCycle classes and one, 150 person Vinyasa Yoga Class outside in Union Square Park. There will even be a kid’s exercise class presented by Crunch Fitness if you want to bring your little sibling along.

All proceeds will benefit the S.E.A.K. Foundation and City of Hope’s Positive Image Center. S.E.A.K., which stands for Strive|Embrace|Achieve|Know, lives by the empowering motto: “Strive to be your best self. Embrace who you are. Achieve the confidence to follow your dreams. Know what you stand for and own it.” Profits from their annual Sports Bra Challenge allows S.E.A.K. to implement after-school programs that are accessible to all pre-teen and adolescent girls.

City of Hope’s Positive Image Center, another truly amazing foundation, helps cancer patients regain and retain confidence in how they look while undergoing treatment. Definitely get in on this epic celebration of the female body by supporting S.E.A.K. and City of Hope during The Sports Bra Challenge.

So if you find yourself in New York City mid-May with killer workout motivation, untouchable confidence, and a charitable soul, don’t miss S.E.A.K.’s Sports Bra Challenge. Registration for The Sports Bra Challenge opens on Monday, April 16th at 9 a.m. Check here for more details as the registration date, and the challenge, get closer.

Not going to be in NYC? Well, don’t fret because even if you can’t physically participate in the NYC event, you can still help by donating on S.E.A.K.’s website. Or if you are feeling especially bold, join the challenge in your hometown by wearing a sports bra while you take a yoga class, go for a run outside, walk your dog, or participate in any other physical activity. No matter where you are, be sure to take a picture and send it to S.E.A.K., as they will be documenting all of their participants nationwide!
