If I sat down and tried to count the number of times Iāve seen the same couples costume in a single night, I seriously donāt think Iād be able to keep track. Justin and Hailey, Jim and Pam, Barbie and Ken ā these are just some couples costumes that, donāt get me wrong, are great, but have become just a tad overrated. There are much better costumes you and your SO can come up with that no one else has done before ā and whatās better than being the niche couple that stands out?
Finding the perfect balance between a couples costume that hasnāt been done before and one that people can actually catch on to can be difficult ā but itās not impossible. I mean, it happens every year. Last year, it was Stack and Smoke from Sinners. The year before, it was Carmy and Sydney from The Bear. I must admit, Iāve seen this costume once before. Just once! But itās honestly one of the most creative (and still niche) couples costumes Iāve ever seen. Have one of you dressed in all-white and Christmas lights for Eve, and the other in all-yellow with some robotic accents, and everyone at the function will be in awe, I swear.
