Cheerio collegiettes™!
Did you wake up this morning for the royal wedding festivities? Whether you’ve been anticipating this event all week, or just over it all together, there’s one thing we can all agree on: Kate Middleton’s beauty.
With her elegantly beautiful long-sleeved lace wedding gown a’la Grace Kelly, the new Duchess of Cambridge effortlessly pulled off this dress with her fit Brit bod. As I watched her walk down the aisle, I began to wonder the amount of work she must have put into keeping her arms toned, especially since her dress draws attention up there. Flabby arms are certainly not a regal look, am I right?
A little research on SELF‘s website helped me learned that the future Queen got plenty of a workout in during her university days when she “joined The Sisterhood and helped the rowing team become the first all-female crew to paddle across the Channel in a dragon boat.”
I’m not water baby but I know that rowing takes a lot of strength. Since summer is a few weeks and exams away, I thought I’d help get my arms into royal shape by doing a few at-home workouts to squeeze in between my study time:
- Using a resistance band and two 3-5 lbs. weights, stand with feet staggered, left leg forward, right leg back. Place band evenly under front foot. Hands at sides, holding the band ends and weights in hand.
