Hello collegiettes™!
Today is the much anticipated weigh-in day that I’ve actually been looking forward to this week.
So far in my journey to lose the the freshman 15 with the Jump Start Diet, I’ve lost 11 pounds in five weeks. But the weight loss stops there because as I stepped on the scale this morning, much to my surprise I lost a total of zero pounds.
It’s better than gaining weight like I did two weeks ago, but still. This means I need to pump up the cardio and be a little more strict in following my diet.
Along with the 45 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of jump roping I put in Monday to Friday, I plan on changing up the suggested workout and working this weight off over the weekend. It’s going to be hard since I have plans and work to get done, but it’s what I need to do.
My motivation is high since I’m this close to dropping four pounds to lose the freshman 15, but my patience is low since I’ve once again been disappointed by my weigh-in.
SELF‘s Jump Start Diet tip-of-the-day says, “don’t think you’re asking too much of the world or of yourself. Push through by believing the new, improved you is your destiny. There’s no reason you can’t have it all.”
To push through this plateu, SELF suggests keeping in mind the advice of Jillian Michaels and being totally selfish, in a good way, and putting you, your weight, and your health first.
Have you experienced a plateau while dieting? What were they and how did you overcome it? Tell me! Leave a comment below, email me at allylopez@hercampus.com or Tweet me (@allylopez).
