Mike Tarazi is quite the catch…if you’re into sassy art students who love penguins, garbage trucks, and trendy hats. For the record, he doesn’t really have a receding hairline…but he can lick his own elbow, and make you laugh until you cry. You can find him in Bear’s Den any given night frantically working to meet a deadline or downing a pint of Haagen Dazs Bananas Foster ice cream…sometimes at the same time. This campus cutie’s easygoing nature and quick wit will grab your attention right away…but if that’s not enough, have you seen his gorgeous face?

Name: Michael Tarazi

Major: Communication Design

How many languages do you speak?
Three! That’s a good question.

What are they?
English, French, and Arabic. Broken Arabic.

Favorite station at BD?
Being of ethnic descent, I like the global station. It’s more like food from home! Even though it’s Indian…and I’m Jordanian.

Oooh exotic. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I used to wanna be the garbage man because they swung off the back of the garbage truck, and it looked like a lot of fun. I also wanted to be a bus driver because they got to meet all these different people traveling. And I used to really like buses as a child.

Favorite animal:
Penguins. When I was 10, I was in the zoo and I wanted to go into the penguin exhibit and my mom carried me over the fence so I could chill with the penguins., until a policeman saw me and pulled me out 2 minutes later.

Wow. Why did she do that?
Because I love penguins!

Favorite article of clothing:
I’m tryna be a hat person. So I would say hats.

Really? Why hats?
My ears get cold. They cover my receding hairline. Cool people wear hats.

I could never really restrict it to a certain type. She has to never be willing to back down from something new at least once, sincerely wants me to be a part of what she loves to do while wanting the absolute best for me as well. She has to have a mix of an easy-going and confident personality. She has to understand that flaws are perfection.

Academic Year: Freshman
Hometown: North Plymouth MA
Relationship Status: Single

Favorite movie and why?
Grandmas Boy. For some reason between the cast, ridiculous plot, and guy humor i think its the funniest movie ever. Any movie with Jonah Hill, Nick Swardson, or Peter Dante is going to be hilarious so all of them together is amazing.

Best date you’ve ever been on:
My sophomore year of high school my family went to orlando studios, and while down there i got a text from a really cute girl from the grade above me that i had a little crush on. Her family was also in Florida so we decided to meet up. We ended up spending the entire day together in the park, and even though she was terrified of the big rides she came on all of them with me. I didn’t even get to kiss her that day, but when we returned home we ended up dating for 2 years so id say that was a success.

Biggest Turn ons with a girl:
(physical attraction aside) A big turn on for me is a girl who is confident and personable. I like when girls seem approachable, or can approach me and introduce themselves without being awkward and needing a friend to cling to for support… “Like seriously i just asked you your name not to get into my sketchy van”…know what i mean? haha. I also really like if a girl can hangout with my friends and I without being attached to my hip.

Biggest Turn offs:
Girls that are obnoxious. For Example girls that are overly cocky and standoffish because they care too much about their “image”. Also If a girl is louder and more immature than me… we have a problem.

Celebrity Crush and why: Mila Kunis. She is absolutely stunning and since i saw the movie: “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” she is my favorite.

Hobbies/Interests: Hockey, snowboarding, hanging with my friends, live music

Most embarrassing moment:
In kindergarden there was some girl hogging the only bathroom for a really long time and i had to pee.. (it was an emergency). I ended up peeing my pants and running out of the room crying. Pretty cute huh?

3 things you would bring with you to a deserted island?
Stocked fridge, Grill w/gas, Mila Kunis

Best part about your Suffolk experience so far:
Meeting my good friends and getting to spend time with them in the city… whether its a bench in the common or the Royale for a dub show we always make it a good time. Shouts outs to Billy Bones Shouts outs to Colby G.

Whats an interesting fact about you most people don’t know?
My sophomore year of high school at Needham High, our varsity hockey team won the state championship. I got to play with my older brother (who was the captain) on the same ice as the Bruins play which was wild.

Most romantic thing you’ve done for a girl/women?
I took my girlfriend to Plymouth to my parents favorite jeweler and let her pick out whatever bracelet she wanted. From there we went to the cape and spent three nights in Pocasset at my families house just the two of us. Between the beach, going out to dinner, and playing house we had ourselves a fun weekend.. i guess you could call that romantic.

Dream Job: To be a District Attorney in Virginia.

Ideal Date:
Candlelit, and I’m probably cooking an Italian chicken dish while watching a romantic comedy, preferably with Matthew McConaughey.  Then I would pull out some classy wine for this classy lady. After, we’ll finish the evening with a nice round of mini golf and a ride on my motorcycle.

Describe your dream girl: Personality is key, but so are Mila Kunis-like looks.

Celebrity Crush: Mila Kunis and Sloan from Entourage.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Sierra Leone because my cousin was adopted from there and always talks about how beautiful the country is and shares interesting stories with me.

Blondes or Brunettes: Brunettes.

JMU girls are the best because…
they are the best-looking college girls in the nation paired with the best attitude… what more could you ask for?

What I like about JMU:
Everything. There’s nothing not to like. Beautiful campus, beautiful women and my awesome roommate, Dan Quinn (and other great friendships).

Biggest Accomplishment: Winning the Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament and finding a great brotherhood with Alpha Tau Omega.

What is your favorite thing about Tufts?
Zeta Psi and that smoothie place; no one goes there and it’s so good.

Favorite movie: Superbad

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Barcelona

Biggest pet peeves: You know when people don’t use adverbs? Like if someone says, “I’m going somewhere quick.”

Girl celebrity crush: Mila Kunis, for sure. She’s Jewish, and so hot, and probably really funny.
Guy celebrity crush: Justin Timberlake. He can dance so well.

Describe your perfect girl in three words: Loves To Cook.

Biggest Turn on with a girl:
Smiling a lot. Any girl with a big, beautiful, genuine smile has me in the palm of her hand.
Biggest Turn off:
Ditziness, and writtinggggg your wordssss like thissssss.

Celebrity Crush and why:
Mila Kunis. It’s love, she just doesn’t know it yet…

Who would you consider your “man crush”?
Conor Oberst. Obsessed.

Future Career Goals/Ambitions:
Some kind of federal law enforcement. I’m open to things like drug interdiction with the Coast Guard, CIA, FBI, Secret Service, all that Ethan Hunt jazz.

Hobbies/Interests:
Halloween is a huge part of my life. I actually work at one of the top haunted attractions in the world. I’m also into music, crafty stuff, and traveling.

Favorite /Least favorite fashion trend for girls:
My favorite fashion trend for girls is the classy, sophisticated look topped off with high self confidence. To me, a tight leather jacket, skinny jeans, and boots are hot. My least favorite fashion trend is wearing pajamas in public. I mean, some girls can pull off the frumpy girl look really well, but when I see that I typically run the other way.

Campus Activities: I don’t do much on campus. Working 3 jobs and going to school kind of eats away at any free time I have off.

Three words you’d use to describe yourself:
Quirky, charming, and outgoing. Original, huh?

First thing you notice about a girl:
Eyes. Big eyes are attractive to me. But if you have no personality and life behind those eyes, you’ve got nothing.

What advice would you give to a girl trying to impress you?
Be real, and genuine. I don’t care about any overly impressive stories. And be sure to smile a lot.

If you had to be stuck on a deserted island for an entire year with another student at Suffolk University who would it be?
Oh man, I really don’t know. Someone who doesn’t talk a lot.

If you had to pick a song to be the theme song to your life what would it be?:
One For You, One For Me by Bright Eyes. I picked this because it’s a pretty down to earth song. It’s also really feel good, and always changes my mood when I need to.

Most embarrassing song on your iPod:
The Ghost Busters theme song. I love it until someone catches me jamming out to it.

Most embarrassing moment:
I’ll keep it Suffolk related. My freshman year, I was having a terrible day. On top of that, it was raining and snowing out and the sidewalks and roads were covered in slush. I decided to take the state house stairs down to Donahue, and on one of the steps down, I slid and fell. I got up, and my ass was soaked and covered in slush. There was no way I was going to class like that, so I had to do their most awkward little waddle back home to change. I always wonder how many people actually saw me and pointed it out to their friends.

Best part about your Suffolk experience so far?
I remember when I first started school here. I was so clueless and confused with everything. I think the best thing about Suffolk is looking back and seeing how much I have changed from my experiences here.

What is an interesting fact about you most people don’t know?
I used to take flying lessons. I stopped right before I graduated high school. I actually flew a plane before I drove a car, and went to a flight school in Vermont for a while.

Most romantic thing you’ve ever done for someone?
I like being spontaneous. I think my favorite romantic thing I’ve done was a random fun filled weekend of whale watching, movie nights, trying new foods together, and exploring new places.

Idea of a perfect date?
Something cute, quiet, and relaxing. I’m simple. Getting lost in the city at night, sitting on a dock, and sharing a dessert would be something on my list.

If people were to give you a superlative, what do you think it would be?
Most likely to have a job you’re jealous of.

Biggest turn-on: A girl who smells like vanilla has my heart.
Biggest turn-off: Talking about ex’s.

Celebrity crush and why: Mila Kunis. She’s perfect, plus I love “That 70’s Show.”

Who would you consider your “man crush”: I would go Fifty Shades of Gay for Christofer Drew Ingle.

Future career goals/ambitions: President. Or professional fluffer.

Hobbies/interests:
Music, noodling for catfish, running, reading ludicrous stories, putzing, making train stations more efficient in the area of heat retention, cliff jumping, hiking, and anything outdoorsy.

Favorite/Least favorite fashion trend for girls:
Skinny jeans and a boho top. Least favorite is probably the classic end of semester college girl: sweatpants, uggs, hoodie, loose pony tail, coffee in one hand, books in the other – though I look forward to it every year.

Three words you’d use to describe yourself: Bombastic, spastic, and all around fantastic.

First thing you notice about a girl: Eyes. I could fall in love with a girl because of her eyes.

Advice you would give to a girl trying to impress you:
Contribute to the conversation, be ridiculous, and laugh at stupid stuff. Also puns, I have a soft spot for puns.

If you had to be stuck on a deserted island for an entire year with another student at Suffolk university who would it be:
My friend Chris, pretty sure he told me he was a boy-scout.

If you had to pick a song to be the theme song to your life what would it be:
I’d say “This is How We Do” by All Time Low. I’m wicked positive and love to have fun.

Most embarrassing song on your iPod:
I’m not embarrassed of anything on my iPod, but I do have some 90’s Boy-Band stuff on there and a couple of T-Swift songs.

Most embarrassing moment:
I don’t really get embarrassed but one time I was hypnotized into thinking one of my best guy friends was Jessica Simpson and I kissed him on the mouth. He freaked, but I thought it was hilarious.

Best part about your Suffolk experience so far: My roommates. I couldn’t have asked for a more stellar group of guys.

An interesting fact about you most people don’t know:
From the first day of fifth grade to the last day of senior year in high school (8 years) I ate a cheeseburger and french fries every single day for lunch.

Most romantic thing you’ve ever done for someone:
When I was in the 8th grade, my girlfriend’s Mom messed up her back, and since she was divorced, her husband wasn’t around to help out. So for a month every day after school I would go over and dust, clean, sweet, mop, help with dishes, and do yard work until her backed healed.

Idea of a perfect date: As long as I’m with the right person, any date is the perfect date.

If people were to give you a superlative, what do you think it would be:
In high school I won Best Hair, but my hometown friend once told me “Sean, you’re so extroverted it hurts.” So I’d go with Most Outgoing.

HC: What is the biggest turn on/off in a girl?
DY:
I would say the biggest turn off would be when girls talk about needing to lose weight, especially if they don’t.  Confidence is key.  The biggest turn on, in my opinion, is when a girl can just have fun without always stressing or worrying about something; a girl who is not always being dramatic.

HC: Where do you picture yourself in 15 years?
DY:
In 15 years, I think I will be married with kids.  I will probably be a high school teacher and football coach.

HC: What do you look for in your ideal girl?
DY:
I like if a girl is charismatic—I don’t always have to be super serious around her and we can have fun.  She isn’t always getting jealous.  I like if she doesn’t always have to be dressed up and can be comfortable around me in sweats.  Extra points if she enjoys watching sports.

HC: Who is your celebrity crush?
DY:
Just one?  I’d say my number one is Mila Kunis.  She’s pretty much perfect.  What guy doesn’t have a crush on her?

HC: What are your favorite pro sports teams?
DY:
The Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Cavs, and the Cleveland Indians—clearly I am not a fan of good teams.  And the Detroit Red Wings—I had to branch out and like a good team.

HC: Outside of school, how do you spend your time?
DY:
Working out, going out with friends and playing basketball and football.

HC: What is your favorite part about being a Buckeye?
DY:
I always saw myself going here and it is more or less a dream come true, as clichéd as that is.

HC: How would you describe yourself in three words?
DY:
I would say outgoing, fun and hardworking.

What do you do on campus?
I play defensive back for the football team.
(Though football is very time-consuming, it doesn’t affect his love for the game – his favorite place on campus in the football field.)
It’s my sanctuary, the one place where I can let loose and be a goon.

But don’t worry, ladies, you don’t need to be an A-list celebrity to woo this Cutie; he’s a down-to-earth guy who appreciates a natural girl.

Turn-offs: Stage 5’s (clingers beware!), cockiness, bad laugh

Plan a date anywhere…?
My plans would depend on the girl, everyone is different and likes different things. Once I know what she’s into/not into I’d plan a date that we both would enjoy. It could be anything from a laid-back movie night or picnic to a skydive.

Currently, this cutie is not tied down, but no matter where his date is, his lucky lady is sure to have a great time with fascinating conversation; he definitely has some interesting things to talk about.

3 fun facts
1.     I lost my first tooth at the top of the Eiffel tower
2.     I’ve played the guitar for 8 years, my Ovation’s name is Gabriela-Cleopatra
3.     I’m a Cali boy and love outdoor extreme sports (dirt biking, jet skiing, wake boarding, bungee jumping, rock climbing
