Zendaya’s Coachella Performance Look Gave Major ‘Euphoria’ Vibes

This year’s Coachella music festival was a whirlwind to say the least. Frank Ocean canceled his weekend two performance, and in his absence, Zendaya surprised fans by performing songs she’s featured on in the Euphoria soundtrack alongside the show’s composer, Labrinth. Let me tell you that Zendaya singing on stage at Coachella was not on my bingo card for 2023, but it was a wonderful surprise and a win for Gen Z.

Let’s face it. Fans unfortunately will not be seeing the third season of Euphoria anytime soon, but Zendaya’s performance gave me what I need to hold me over until the next season. Plus, her outfit and look for the two-song performance made it seem like Jules was up on stage.

Zendaya’s performance outfit very much gave Euphoria vibes and the Y2K aesthetic. Her pink babydoll dress layered over a high-neck, white tank top reminded me a lot of what Rue’s love interest Jules wears in Season 1. Zendaya also wore black knee-high laced-up boots to complete her Y2K look. Zendaya’s outfit aligned more with the hyperfeminine style of Euphoria characters Cassie and Jules than Rue’s masculine maroon hoodie and baggy shorts aesthetic.

To complete her look, Zendaya switched up her bob for full on curls that went to their waist. Her long, flowy hair emulated the vibes of her character Rue. Zendaya is known for constantly switching up her hairdos with different hair textures and colors, so I when I saw her sporting her voluminous brown curls, it reminded me so much of her beloved Euphoria character. After seeing Zendaya and Labrinth’s livestream performance, it’s safe to say that I’m re-entering my Euphoria era again. Here are dupes to help you recreate Zendaya’s Euphoria-esque Coachella 2023 outfit.
