What to Wear to Your Summer Internship Interview

So you’ve finally landed the interview, and you can’t wait to prepare and ace it, but what do you wear? Have no fear, because I’m hear to share some fashion essentials that will help you look and feel great at your summer internship interview.

1. Blazer- Blazers are always a necessity and they can turn almost any normal outfit into a professional one. Plus, blazers come in so many different colors and styles, so you can’t go wrong when you’re looking to add a little professional personality to your outfit. Check out places like H&M (link: http://www.hm.com/us/subdepartment/LADIES?Nr=4294926803) for awesome deals on great blazers!

2. Pencil skirt- Pencil skirts are awesome, classic and definitely underrated. Rock a solid-color pencil skirt for a simple, chic look or add a little personality to your outfit with a patterned pencil skirt and a solid top. Places like J.Crew (link: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_feature/NewArrivals/skirts.jsp) have awesome patterned and solid pencil skirts.

3. Classic black pumps- Classic black pumps with a decently sized heel are always necessary for a summer internship interview. Even though flats are great, heels show that you really took the effort to look good and prepare for the interview. Check out www.Zappos.com for an awesome selection of black pumps!

4. Simple Jewelry- Make sure to wear simple jewelry because wearing complicated statement pieces could definitely distract the person who is interviewing you. Once again, wearing jewelry really shows that you put in the extra effort, as long as you make sure it isn’t too extreme!

Whatever you wear, wear confidence! If you walk in to the room with confidence, you are bound to ace the interview and land the summer internship of your dreams! Good luck, collegiettes!
