Trending Now: Florals for Spring? No Thanks, We’ll Take These Neutral Looks Instead

As the spring season approaches shades of browns, creams, and grays are taking over our Insta feed. If you weren’t into the minimalistic look before, prepare to fall in love. Neutrals are easy on the eyes and match just about everything. This muted color palette is being rocked on overalls, frilly skirts, oversized sweaters, trendy trousers, and much more. Neutrals don’t always have to be low-key. Pair yours with patterns, prints, or fun accessories to create a standout look.

We love the simplicity of this trend. Rummage through your closet and you are bound to find at least one neutral piece. Maybe it’s a turtleneck, tank, or even a belt. Whatever it is as long as it’s neutral, it works! Need some extra inspo on how to rock this earth-toned trend? Her Campus’s InfluenceHer Collective members are dressed in all the neutrals here:

Have fun with neutrals and go for a piece with a pattern. The white polka dots on this skirt perfectly contrast with its tan base color.

2. Texture queen

We love how this look combines an ultra soft turtleneck with a structured gingham skirt. It’s the perfect balance of comfort and class.

3. Obsessed with overalls

Belt your overalls at the waist to give your look more shape and an extra touch of style. We love how this look matches the booties to the belt.

Sometimes you don’t have to go all out with patterns or prints to make a statement. We love how this minimalistic look speaks for itself.
